I mostly do one comission at a time. I don't do it on a slot basis, and mostly as hobby. I also don't like what you are talking about. I only need a lot of time when I get stuck on a picture in a sense of not knowing how to continue.

Yeah but that's a different matter and at least you know your limits.

The best way to avoid getting money stolen, is to just start drawing yourself. It will take a few years, but its totally worth it as skill!

I work 11 hour shifts, 4 days a week AND I'm working on our new house right now. So even though I'm going to try to get back into drawing again, sometimes I just don't have the time or energy.
Meanwhile most of the people I commission are sitting at home with no job and don't go to school. Therefore should have plenty of time to do what I'm paying them to do.

The problem is, people like those who have nothing to do, aren't really managing themselves right. If you never have to face a customer in person, you will procrastinate and go the easiest way possible. Diligent people are hard to find.

Oh this person made me wait for well over a month before I finally decided I wanted my money back. And then they kept me waiting for the refund for over two months.

You show a good product, you open up for sales or commisions, take their monney and dont do shit for a while. (Or never do actuly.)

I don't think they can comprehend/remember that there's a person on the other side of the screen. They see pictures and fursonas and characters and all they can ee is what's on their screen. They have no empathy to feel that they're hurting someone by taking their money.

I mean, one of my comisioners was disapointed in one of my drawings. I waited until I got better and then I reworked his commision. Like. I don't know. it should be a base for evryone to do their best to meet up the costumers standarts. >:B

Free is one thing. That's a gift, not a requirement.
But when someone pays, then that's when it becomes a job that MUST be done. Or else the money has to be given back. You know?

That was actually a huge booboo I did lately, and I'm just now finally recovering from it, from an impromptu commission queue of like 10 back in December.
It's weird how, on the surface, it seems so simple. Wooooo, how wrong I was. It was enough for me to start overhauling how I handle commissions, though. So I guess that's a good thing.

This person had a que of 53 BEFORE me and a couple of people after me. Think about it, if it was all their $10 YCH's, then that's OVER $540 they took from people.

I ordered 2 slots from them 4+ months ago. They continue to link me to journals to explain themselves. Saying my character will be in the batch but it isn't ever. Yet he takes more!

I recently messaged them since the due date THEY GAVE ME for my piece was the end of March.

I was told to FIND the YCHs, link them to him, and resend him my ref sheet.

At this point and for the quality I just want my money back. Not gonna lie.

Went snooping around for anyone else in this situation. Ordered mine back in July of 2019 and have been silently watching them fudge their whole queue up as well as make several excuses for their actions. Also the attitude towards people who are rightfully upset and angry over the wait time!

The whole scavenger hunt for my own YCH is what really ticked me off. Waded through 85ish pages for it! If it's not done by the due date I was given I'm just gonna attempt to get my money back.

I have already raised it to a claim with PayPal because the artist was trying to have me wait 2 weeks for a refund. My last contact was them asking for my PayPal info and I just don't understand how they don't have something like that.

They don't know who I am, what I purchased, what my ref sheet is...terrible service.

I know right? like, I've gotten a bit behind on commissions a few times in my freelance career but never have I EVER lost someones commission info. That's just very bad business practice to not take notes on who ordered what :/ Just a very frustrating situation and I know if I raise my concerns on the commission they'll take it as me attacking them like they have done with everyone else who are displeased with services.

Don't get angry and upset when people start calling you out for not delivering a service you promised. And good lord don't make customers dig through your scraps for info YOU lost.

I'm in the same boat. The items I ordered from them stated 1 week for completion time and it's been 10 months. They have asked for my ref 6 different times over the 10 months. I asked for a refund. They said they would send the first $50 in two weeks. Two weeks went and nothing I messaged them "Wasn't the payment due yesterday?" and I got back "honestly didn't know, i will need another week, dealing with some rent issues since the dumb pandemic" If the next payment is missed I will be getting a beware post ready. I have exported the entire chat incase they delete it (telegram).

I will gladly help with this if you want. I am about to message about the deadline that was missed on the 28th. I order back in July 2019, we are now in May 2020 this is ridiculous. I am very sorry you are having to deal with this as well.

eventually, yes. But the quality was so poor, they literally just slapped it together 2 hours after I demanded a refund.

I eventually got my full refund after payments were missed 15 times. It was like pulling teeth.

Came across this journal while doing research on them. Yikes! At least now I know I'm not the only one swindled by them.

Ordered a YCH from them back in August. Never got it finished ( even after they did a 12+ hour stream where they were to "clear out their queue"), and everytime I DMed them for a refund, I either got ignored or given an excuse and that it would come "in a few days", but never did.

Oh, and to top it all off, they put my YCH back up for sale c': A-fucking mazing.....

There are so many artists who scam people out of their money for commissions, and they just blow it all behind the backs of their clients and never finished what they said they would do. One known furry artist that no matter how talented she was, she was taking way more commissions than she could handle and never finished half of them; and the people she robbed were really upset they didn't get what they paid for, and she just spends their money on shit she has on her own wishlist for when she's not drawing.

And be careful with that "emergency commissions" thing. Most of the time, people will just open it when they have personal bills to pay or if their own cars had a flat tire among other things. You will know they'll spend your money that you paid them to draw for you behind your back; and then say that it has been 60 days and they haven't even gotten started on what you paid for them to draw for you. And then when they don't have the money to refund to you for your missing commission, that's when you have to file a claim and that the government can intervene and refund you what the artist was unwilling to refund to you, and that the artist responsible can get charged for fraud. It's also annoying to see a bunch of artists gouge their own prices when it comes to taking commissions, and price-gouging should be taken very seriously.
