okay so i m off my ass on sleep meds right now but i wanted to get this written out before dragging myself to bed (pidge is gon kill me for staying up this late again)
going back and forth with my clients for the large illustrations is going slowly; that's not bad because for those i do like to put a lot of extra work into them. but in the meantime, bills gotta be paid and stuff. SO Pidge is helping me kick my ass into gear by getting me back in the habit of streaming 1-3 times a week.
We're not doing anything this weekend, so I'm gonna try to stream at least once Friday and/or Saturday. I'll know more after tomorrow.
Today? time is weird and it's 3am. my plan was to play Borderlands presequel until life stopped sucking shit. here i am and i just quit the game hahaha. i have so much dumb family stuff to do tomorrow. meeting up with sister and Aunt K to clean out the house for ????? hours. gotta sift through papers to find my mum's death certificate so RIT financial aid can wipe their ass with it and give me that sweet sweet Orphan Scholarship Money ™. trying to make light of a kinda very awful situation; my entire brand of humour is sarcasm, hyperbole, and self deprecation. gallows humour, how appropriate to my gallery lmao
Anyway! Distract me! I'm gonna take five slots rn for stream stuff this weekend. No shaded illustrations this batch, I don't like taking on a lot of those at once. Anything else is game! Icons, Character designs, Flat colour stuff, pinups--!

If you're into harvest moon-esque games you should look into Stardew Valley. It's what I turn to when I don't really have energy to do much else. Very cute and peaceful game. I somehow put 40 hours into it in one week, haha.
I've been playing a lot of Overwatch and Borderlands 2/Presequel as my escapism of choice. I love the meshing of high-octane shooter and casual, humorous atmosphere. Shooters have always been my fave. But for something more mellow, I just picked up the Shelter series in the Steam Sale, and I'm really anxious to try it, it looks utterly charming (and probably heartbreaking, i just know all my little animal babies are gonna get nommed). I'll have to let it install overnight though, because internet in the middle of the woods is shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit
oh my god I want to play overwatch so bad, but I doubt my poor little laptop could run it. What hero (is that what they're called?? I'm so behind on the times) is your favorite to play? And which one is just your favorite as a character? I think Lucio is the cutest, but I also love how over the top Reaper is.
I just looked that game up- HOW IS HAVING YOUR LITTLE BADGER BABIES IN CONSTANT PERIL RELAXING??? Looks very unique and charming tho, a simple game that would probably manage to make me cry a few times. Might pick it up considering the first game is less than 2 bucks right now..
I play way too much league of legends so I call the Overwatch peeps champions just out of habit.
Reaper is such an edgelord, the memes are hilarious and I'm hilariously bad at him. Like REALLY bad. Years of playing Medic in TF2 have made me think that I should be the best at Mercy, but I'm actually only decent, which bugs the CRAP outta me. She's just different enough from Medic that it keeps messing me up haha
I like, keep thinking I have to use my ultimate before I die or I'll lose it, like I would with an uber, but that is not the case.
I love absolutely everything about Zarya. Her kit. Her backstory, her design, but my ultimate fave (and the guy I've been playing for about a whole week now) is Reinhardt. I love that man so much. He's just so happy to be there. I've gotten scary good with him with all the practice I've gotten in, if I may say so.
Started playing competitivr, and he's the only one I'm really good enough with. Luckily I have a full team with other specialtisz! One of my friends plays Zarya and our face start is she ults and I as Reinhardt, charge in and knock the whole team into a wall haha!!
It works EVERY TIME. NO ONE EXPECTS IT!

I love reaper.... the edgelord.... I love people sexualizing the crap out of him like yes. Please keep on drawing him with glorious hips and thighs. I love it so much. I also love how pretty Hanzo is, Genji's ass, and LUCIO. HIS SMILE.
Rienhardt looks so fun, and from what I've seen everyone that plays him has a really great time. I dismissed Reinhardt entirely until I saw some really fun gameplay.
That strat sounds glorious.
I have a feeling that my fav to play is going to end up being different from my fav to look at. If I had to pick a favorite right now.... it would have to be Reaper. Only by a hair. I want a statuette of him. I cant explain why I love that weird mix of ridiculousness and sexiness. Lucio is a very very close second.

As for "summer", since I live in the UK, there is no such thing this year, apparently: it hasn't stopped raining and being grey and miserable for the past couple of months here. Seriously! :P I wish I had the chance to go and do something fun, summer is usually my favourite time of year >.<
Kind of curious about perhaps getting a sketch of some kind, but it depends on what type of subjects you feel up to drawing :)
I'd kind of taken a break, moved onto my DA for a bit--I joined a couple ARPGs there, which was very therapeutic and got me back into drawing environments, quadruped beasties, and birds! Super relaxing but my god the demographic makes it hard to sell any sort of art there. Can't really blame the users, most of them are pretty young and my art's kinda....scary and I charge Real Money© not points. How dare I, lmao

Only thing that takes the bounce of my bungie is the thought of doing anything more than 2 characters in one piece (though it's rare anyone asks me for 3+ ever, just puttin it out there).
Yeah when the weather's nice I like to go on a trip somewhere for a weekend or something, beach is nice but it's quite far for me as I'm in the centre of the country, and we never get good enough sun anyway :P
Well that's interesting, glad you got to take a break and draw some different stuff you liked. It's important not to get burnt out :)
It would be interesting to see something with more than 2 characters, that might be a good idea for a YCH maybe? I don't normally like them myself unless they're interesting.
I'd be interested though, if there are any scenes that work well with many characters ^^
