Belated Update. 115th Journal
This is my head.
One or two of you might have noticed, I haven't been all that active here for a long long while. Yeah, I been laying low. I wanted this year restart my stuff but already more than half of it few away and I haven't even touched any of my arts. I still hope to do something before the year end though..
I have more bad news. From my previous journals from last year, I reported that year a neighbor down the street passed away. Well, this year, my youngest brother stopped his dialysis treatment in June and expired a week after. He was in great pain after being involved in a fire back in February that claimed his wife. He suffered from several medical conditions and felt he did have long to live anyway.
To add to that, a long time friend of the family got a fast spreading form of cancer and she died just two days after my brother. There might be more coming in the months ahead as the grandma of my brother's ex-wife is sick and she is over 90 so that doesn't look good for her. And then there is my aunt that is in a nursing home that might not have long to go as well.
Despite the deaths and impending ones, I do have a tiny tibit of good news at work. I finally got the engineering project that I been itching to do for almost two years. I involves re-designing an internal use product to other engineers to use. I am really getting into it and hope it will lead to bigger, better things. Designing and building stuff is something I really wanted to do all my life and this is my opportunity to get into that aspect of the business.
I started off doing real time failure analysis and rework of products off the line for years but did some minor builds like testers and the like for years there. This is going to be the biggest project so I am excited about that. I guess better late than never.

Hey, I'm terribly sorry for the reasons why you've been quieter these days. I really hope that the new challenges at work will make your life more interesting after this terrible streak you've gone through.

OP
One of the reasons. My infamous dragon laziness played a big part in my absence. As for work, I'm finding myself spending for time during the day there. Time really flies and learning new things. Nine, ten, even eleven hour days but I don't mind even though I am on salary and don't make overtime. Don't want to do that forever however, just for this project. I have a habit of getting bored easily (hence my many unfinished projects) so I don't want to do the same thing over and over, so this project is nice since large chunks of it is new to me.
