New art site, please read!!

So I have decided that I will post all of my art to my tumblr primarily from now on. I thought I might use instagram, until I realized I can’t post from my computer, and post other finished pictures that are saved files. I want to be able to go back and post some things, and be able to post some guest art as things come along. I feel like FA just isn’t used much lately, Weasyl is so slow, but tons of people use tumblr, twitter, instagram… I would like to just plop all my art on one site so I could know where to go find whatever I draw, instead of dividing up where I can post what. I have to filter my FB posts a lot because of things family would see that might freak them out, as in, my vent art. :p So, I figure I will just post everything on tumblr, from sketches to wips to finished images and even some guest art.
I will still post to all the other sites some, like I still like posting here but I may not as much. FA just isn't the same as it used to be. *shakes cane* I sound like an old-timer.

It which ways? I'm curious if it's the same things I've noticed.
But moreso, it's that sense of community we had. Remember the DA days when we drew art and actually had conversations with each other on it? Shit, even remember the VCL days when the whole way we even communicated with each other was through drawing for each other? I know we don't all comment on each other's work anymore, and I'm in NO WAY trying to guilt any of my friends about it - because I do it too - it's just that sense of nostalgia about it.
And the fact that the "new age" wave of furs (damn I sound old) just don't seem to be very, uh.. how do I say this nicely.... original? I see SO MANY people who draw characters that are blatant rip offs of other people's characters. I've even seen some that look like yours, like mine, like Frick's, SO MANY that look like Phee's (Kaz's) and LeeLee's still to this day. Where is the originality? I'm also just not a big fan of this huge popularity with "adoptables" which speaks to the originality thing. Don't get me wrong, tons of them are damn adorable, but sheeeeit people, what happened to designing your own characters?
I guess I'm just a jaded old grey-muzzle ;p
I agree about the comments thing, it's so rare that i see really nice art with comments on it! D:
