More Trouble, More Troubleshooting

So about 2 days after "fixing" my computer, it's having the same problems again. Which means it's not the hard drive (at least not hdd hardware failure). So the Mac store I took it ran a diagnostic and there are not any apparent hardware problems (at least not ones that showed up). So I've been advised to manually reinstall the OS and my programs etc. That's gonna take more time away from work, which is killing me. I'm not a workaholic type, but drawing is my life, and not getting to do what I enjoy and making people wait for their art is doubly hard on me.
So I might have to acquire a Windows copy of CS5 and work from another computer temporarily til I get sh*t fixed. That may not be the best idea, but I can't just sit on my hands. I've already lost too much work time.
Anyway, wish me luck that I get this garbage fixed one way or another very soon.

You are awesome. Thanks for the help
Also, it could just be a bad hard drive that the tests they ran didn't show as bad, I have had more than a few intermittent faults with HDs
I think
Also.. does the fan seem to spin more/faster than it usually did in the past? (e.g. its trying to dissipate more heat than it did when it was new, which might mean its overheating...)
All kidding aside, I hope you get this all straightened out soon. In this day and age I know how frustrating it can be to have your computer go down.
And, coming from waaaay out in left field, there is always a 3rd option no one has mentioned. Good old pencil & paper. Vent your creativity the old fashioned way and scan them in once the problem is sorted out. I know this is an old-timey option from an old timer, but it's still a 3rd possibilty. ^^
(Been playing Spelunky in my spare time)
And yes, I have actually done just that. Did a couple traditional commissions last night in fact. Will post them soon.
Hmm, Mac. I've always seen Mac as a "bad choice" but that's subjective.
If you need some Windows material (ISOs for example), note me. Being a Windows guy, I might be able to hook you up with one until you get your Mac sorted out.
