So uh... I'm trying to get back into making art. It's been hard.
What seems to be my biggest barrier right now is not knowing how to do certain things, and having no one to ask. I need some people who are more experienced artists than me, just for the occasional question on say, how the fuck digital shading is done, or, what the fuck is wrong with this pose.

I mean, I'd argue that your most recent post has fairly fluid and 'airbrushy' shading to it - but if that's not what you mean...

Are you using photoshop? Try Manga Studio (Clip Studio), the brush engine is much, much better. I think it's around $50 but it goes on sale all the time. Paint Tool Sai also has a good brush engine and is free, though somewhat limited in capabilities.
Of course I remember you, I've been wondering where you went for years omg. It's great to hear from you again! :D
Hmm I've heard of both of these but am stubborn so haven't tried them yet. It sounds like I should!
