RMFC 2016 REVIEW
It's been 2 weeks since the con. And here is my take on it.
SCORE: 3/5
Why...?
CONS:
- I felt that there was hardly anyone there. In the central area of the con there weren't many people gathered nor suiters. The most I saw in the area were during the cocktail party. Which is sad, really.
-Some of the people believe it was the hotel that just made the con sucky- but there is more to it than just that. The halls were rather small indeed as well as the fact that all the panel rooms were located in a zig zag hall way.
- The headless lounge was ALL the way in the back of that hall. So if I wanted a break I would have to walk like 5 minutes just to cool off.
- That parade was a joke. I started out with us going out into the hallway and through the dealers den. And for some reason then going back out into that same hall with traffic going both ways. They had to pretty much cancel it because there was no damn room for us to move. This could have easily been avoided I feel.
- No photo booth!! There was no photo booth so I wasn't able to get any professional pictures done. :(
PROS:
-I did get to meet a couple awesome people and befriend them. Ended up going to eat a couple times which was very enjoyable.
-The central area had a waterfall. Which was really nice.
-The staff were friendly, also a plus.
Overall, I think it was a waste of my time. I don't like to say that since I LOVE cons but this year's RMFC was a bust. During RMFC next year I will be going to another con. Which one is up for debate. If 2017 RMFC goes well, I may consider going back for 2018.

FA+

Wasn't it better in 2015?
Everyone is saying next year will be better, but I will believe it when I hear the reviews. I will probably attend Megaplex instead. It's a couple weeks before.
The hotel actually went out of their way and asked the con to attend there next year. xD And I've seen the hotel so I'm like, 'Let's do it!" Plus I wanna visit FL.
I'd like to go for sure, too. There's cheapo flights from here direct to Orlando, too.
I might be interested in seeing the museum close by though. Just depends on the schedule.
I rarely leave the convention venue, which is kinda sad as I don't get to "see" the city I'm visiting. IMO, they're just another city, and I just don't have the time to explore. Most of the cities I've been to for cons I've all ready been to before.
One time when I'm in Reno, if I can find a ride, I'd like to go to the sign downtown and get some photos taken. It's only about a mile or two from the Grand Sierra.
Oh, that would be nice. Pretty cool indeed. I would like to get pictures at very landscape-esque places.
Definitely gonna get LOTS of pictures. I LOVE the landscape so much.
I'm wanting to bring SabreKatz instead of Fu so I can get some desert photos of him. I should have enough room that I could sneak Muah'deib in my carry on, too.
I do reserve the right to change my mind between now and zen..
Aw, thanks! Pretty darn good looking picture.
