Got a new job
Just spent the past couple of months leaving my old job and transitioning to a new job and getting used to said new job. That is, going from retail food service to programming in a fairly flexible environment, finally a job doing what I'm good at. The only downside is the 1.5 hour commute; ~3 hours just sitting in a car each day.
A lot has changed over the last few months, and I'm fighting with my anxiety, reassuring myself that though things are different, they're better and that I just need time to get familiar with all the new people and the stuff I'll be doing. So far it's ok, but I really miss hanging around people I have 10+ year bonds with, like when I was in college.
Today, I plugged my tablet in for the first time in 4 months. I'd been doodling on napkins and paper plates at my old job just as usual, but things had gotten so bad that, for the first time in my 4 years working there, I got berated for having drawn something, after someone else stuck it to the message board. The entire time I was getting used to my new job, I kept that in mind.

even if it's a terrible commute things improve!
