The most beautiful thing. And the most depressing thing.
Hello there. This might be the first time I really write a journal straight from the experience. But lets try, shall we.
So yeah, last weekend I was at the every year Furry Cruise here in Finland. And there, I met with the most beautiful sight I have ever seen.
One of the furries said that I should share my thoughts about this experience, and so I shall.
So yeah, on friday night, when people were still partying somewhere on the ship, or just sleeping in their cabins, me and couple of other fin-furries
were at the sun deck talking, when suddenly one of them told us to look at the full moon in the horizont.
So we went to the back of the ship to view this magnificent moment. And it sure was. It was the most beautiful moment I have ever witnessed.
Imagine: Black, clear sky, with no clouds anywhere. Black, almost calm sea, the only waves are coming from our ship. And the full moon, casting its
light on the surface of the sea, creating a moon bridge. It truly was breathtaking experience. But then, one of the furries said that imagine, if someone would fall over
the sides, and no one would not be able to notice you, because of the shadows and the sound of roaring engines. And then it struck me:
The most beautiful view became the most depressing thing I have ever imagined.
This is what death would be. You die, and you fall in the black, calm and cold sea, only accompanied by the moon. No land on the horizon, no ship to go by.
Only the calm, black water and the moon with its light. And maybe the only hope would be to follow the moon bridge, and maybe find salvation. Maybe..
I could only imagine myself in that position. Alone in the middle of the endless ocean. No sounds, no movement, nothing. Maybe, fate would be cruel enough to
show you a ship, far away from you, with all its lights on and people celebrating on board. But I could not get to it, so far away, so weak, so cold. Just imagine.
Is this precisely the death I believe: Probably, probably not. But the idea struck my mind and my feelings. And brought chills to my spine. I wanted to go inside..
But yeah, the most amazing experience I have ever had, and now I shared it with you who would be interested in it. Please, comment your thoughts about this
and share your own similar or not-so-similar experiences, I would be happy to hear them. Good night!
