I have hated instant messengers since 2008, when my crazy boss from hell required me to have all of them open and running at once, plus my cell phone, plus Second Life, and freaked out one day when I dropped off the net over lunch.
But I like Telegram.
Meanwhile I have:

Trillian (AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, er...maybe other stuff)
Telegram
Discord
Kik
Like, it's cool if someone wants to keep using it because their friends are on there, but...come on, there's so much better, try a second thing.
