Hmm ... I have not heard of this, maybe they want to alter their old cartoons to modern, but it's a stupid idea, and because they are so beautiful.

why?

just ignore their "new" movies... and watch the old ones you like...

I am doing that with television since 2000. sold the TV; aint missing it...

Have still not seen their "redone" version of jungle book, but in my opinion original jungle book was one of their "weaker" movies anyway while the characters are good and original; plot and especially the music need improvement (best get rid of those weird singing parts unless these are done by people who can actually sing, see frozen with an accomplished broadway actress and you can hear that she is talented). Also the animation is kinda ... dusted...

Disney really went into crap around 2000 with no wonderful cartoon series like the old days. It's sad because this age the valve of the old school is still wonderful but kids are so glued to their devices they'll never take the time to watch sometime.

They're redoing evrything so they can hold copyights for the next 70 odd years because some of them are coming due.
