Do you post more actively anywhere else? I sometimes really miss your stuff!

Not at the moment. I am thinking about dusting off my sarkatsha Tumblr account and just putting everything-that-is-me on it. Art, bloggish things, posts about my adventures, etc. I didn't plan on taking such a long hiatus from public internet life, but I sort of did. I guess I needed the peace for a while. Writing has been My Thing this year, which isn't really something I can readily show people like I can with artwork, which has a lot to do with why I haven't been around so much. The break's been good but I do miss being around sometimes.

Probably, yeah. I'm not really planning on going to any cons any time soon. Really enjoyed AnthrOhio though and I'm thinking a lot of that had to do with it being a smaller, less chaotic atmosphere. Not knocking bigger cons, but it seems like as I get older, I prefer the quiet. XD I also didn't sell at it, which probably helped. I was able to take some walks in and around the hotel, talk to people more in depth than I otherwise would have, didn't feel rushed everywhere and there wasn't the vibe of cut-throat competition in the air. If I do another furry con again, it will be a small one.

Oh, definitely. Smaller cons are a fantastic time, and I wish I had the kind of money I would like to go to more of the smaller ones. The atmosphere is so nice at them; it was what made earlier MFFs, as well as FCN when it was still FCN, really fun. Until something like that happens, though, I'm glad to hear you're still doing well!

It's good to hear from you again! Always patiently waiting for art updates from you and it's always worth it. Was really enjoying the influx of con art, brilliant stuff as always. I hear you on rather enjoying long breaks though, sometimes I kind of wish I could take long stints off but I start to miss certain people and of course need to keep up posting and getting commissions. Glad to hear all things are well on your end!

I got a day job that allowed me to back off from commissions. Before that, having to make the $$ is really what was tethering me I think. I do miss people too, but try and keep up through various social media. It was nice though, keeping my art and whatnot to myself for a while. I needed that step back to fall in love with the work all over again. I was certainly on the edge of burn out. Kinda still am sometimes but it's nice to finally not be fretting over it. That took a long time to shake, even with the day job. There's this push to produce, to be seen, to keep in the stream of things and I had no idea how much it was bothering my psyche until I stepped back.

I think it would mean the bucket kicked him into itself and it just became a portal to the other side.

What a coincidence! Just the other day I was thinking about how I haven't seen you on here in a long time, and thought I'd drop you a note to see how you're doing (and figured a text message would be considered intrusive). Glad to know you're doing well!

Aw, it wouldn't have been intrusive, but I know what you mean. Though you'd probably have gotten a 'who is this?" message back as I've had several times since getting your number where I've had to switch phones which resulted in losing any numbers I didn't have written down somewhere! Hope things have been good with you too?

Funny thing is, I'm still using the same phone I had back in 2009 when we were contacting each other about picking up my con badge from you. Things have been going alright, thanks. Getting firewood ready for winter, enjoying every last scrap of warm weather when we get it, and glad to see the mosquito population finally dwindling out.

The commissions I've gotten from you remain some of my all time favorites <3 Always wonderful to see you around.
