Animation programs?
I've been looking into simple animations... you guys have any suggestions on what to use? GIMP would work but it's very slow and a bit complex for anything more except talk cycles. I want to try simple hand drawn animations... now, I do have Adobe suite cs4; not sure if that's all in there, but if it isn't can someone suggest what program to go pick up?

pencil is often cited as a simple animation tool for frame-by-frame animation. it seems to have a very limited toolset as far as actual drawing goes, but may suffice for something simple.
synfig supports animation using morphable bones/assets so you don't have to redraw frames every time.
e-mote free movie maker/emofuri is a tool for animating raster drawings split into morphable parts.
opentoonz probably does not qualify as simple but it is the animation software used by major studios such as ghibli. it was released free to the public earlier this year.
