News - Project Onsen Complete - Clock Tower YCH!
Hey folks! It's been awhile since I've posted anything here, so I thought I'd give an update on how things are going for anyone who'd care anything about that sort of thing.
Things have been pretty rocky on my end as I've transitioned jobs. I quit my job at the warehouse I was working at a couple weeks ago and have been in training to do a form of document sorting at a financial institution. Fun stuff, made even more fun by all the tons of paperwork involved. Making sure I don't get dropped from insurance, setting up direct deposit with the new employer, learning how to fill out both timecards I'm required to. I've more or less gotten a handle on things though, so I think stress levels are starting to even out.
It was requested of me from a friend that I add a blurb advertising their friend's gofundme page. They're an artist looking for financial assistance in getting supplies for making further art. Check them out here: https://www.gofundme.com/art2work4
After several months, Project Onsen is complete! If you aren't familiar with it, it's a large group piece featuring 12 of my various characters completed in stages. It was intended to be done in a year from the start, but the artist completed it much faster than I anticipated. I posted the first image back in February or March and have been updating it over time as new characters were added. Then I kind of slacked on updating so now we're pushing right on ahead to the finished product! You can see that here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19224333/
The next project I have going with that same artist may be scaled back a little in terms of number of characters, but the quality of the piece more than makes up for it. Not to mention the subject matter lends itself better to fewer characters involved. What project is that? Well, if anyone's familiar with my heavily Clock Tower inspired Scissordragon/Scissor'bold character, the time has come for him to claim his first victim! And while I could have easily picked another character from my own roster to fill the victim spot, I thought it'd be more fun to let the artist turn it into a YCH so I won't even know who got killed until the auction ends. She even fit in a spot for a witness, so now there are two spots up on auction. And that auction you can find here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21565298/
Finally, as Halloween swiftly approaches please be cautious while accepting candy from strangers. This brief PSA will show you what to look for: http://i.imgur.com/5FfKTAs.gifv . Stay safe out there, thanks for reading, and see you next journal!
