Sadly I work in a short bit and won't be able to vote. I can only hope the outcome isn't too awful.

All employers are supposed to grant time for everyone to vote as is our legal right. Good luck as I know you work at a really busy place!

Yeah I was told that by a friend, but I was dropped off, so I don't think it would've made a difference, I was stuck at work and all the voting places were way too far to walk.

Pretty slow tonight! Elections and the rain seemed to have made it a slow night, pretty much just cleaned the place and chatted with my co-worker about life and family.
Its gotten a bit easier, I know more about what I'm doing, but its been busy with the holidays, I've managed to take it mostly in stride so far. There's a bit of drama between some co-workers, I try to stay out of it, I love everybody there and I hate that they can't all get along.

Write in vote: No Confidence, demonstrating my complete and utter lack of respect for ANYONE currently on the ballot.

The president elect isn't the only thing on the ballot. Your local representation is up for vote as well so both are very important. I was more confident in my local and state government choices - but I feel you on this presidential election... it's rough but we have to do something.

In my region, my local representation really wasn't having much of a challenge. You may remember Ted Cruz, the only guy who at least tried to give Trump a run for his money? He's my senator. And since we can't get someone sane in the White House, I'm keeping him. Likewise, the House Rep is not really being challenged all that hard. The rest of the state elected officials are also rather comfy in their positions, with no real challenger at this time since they are doing their jobs with a minimum of annoyance.

The problem we are having here is the two-party system. With two parties to choose from, and three branches of government, one party or the other will inevitably have control over 2/3 of the government at any given time, bypassing the checks and balances our founding fathers placed on the government to prevent the very kind of shenanigans we've been seeing lately from our federal government. Both the Democratic and Republican parties need to be broken up, due to monopolistic practices, and a constitutional amendment needs to be written stating that no one party can ever get that big again.
