So, was walking home, decided to pop into a store to see if they had anything in the discount section that was worth grabbing. Lo and behold, venison burgers! And brioche buns! So I picked those up, along with some nice salad to go on them. Lettuce, onion, tomato, bit of grated carrot. And oh boy. While it was super delicious, the brioche buns were a bit of a mistake. Venison is already so rich and strong, that the rich bun made it a little overwhelming! Couldn't finish the entire burger. My kid certainly loved it though.
Also, as I'm not long out of the shower, I smell of coconut because of my super tasty smelling shampoo.
I proceeded to sleep the rest of the afternoon away in the sun on the floor,
because the couch was cold and uncomfy and the carpet was recently cleaned.
I designed two new characters this week and for the first time in a long time I'm proud enough to possibly post them somewhere. ^^ My positive for the day.
Just as an interesting note I'm about to go see the movie Arrival. I'm not sure if I'm going to like it but alien themes are cool so probably. It has Jeremy Rener so that's already a plus. If it gets boring I can just pretend he's Hawkeye on a secret mission. Lol
What sort of movies are you looking forward to?
So in March I packed my bags and flew to Japan, it was my very first time not only going to Japan but to a foreign country in general. I'm not a light packer, so we had 2 large suitcases, two carry-ons and laptop bags. Upon landing at probably 11PM (the time difference between California and Japan is a killer omg), I was tired, my husband was cranky because of allergies and we were just ready to get to our place. Well, hubby's aformentioned allergies made him a mouth breather- sinuses swollen and clogged. He was fussy and confused because he didn't hardly know a lick of Japanese to begin with, and I had no idea where we could find nose spray.... but boy did he need some.
So we finally find the public train (right under the airport after all that struggle of finding it) and we go up a few stops until we have to transfer. Mind you, neither of us have ever traveled through subway... so riding one that was Japanese was mostly just confusing at first. We stopped at the connecting station and Hubby hands me all the bags and says
"Get on the train and wait right there. I'm just going to run up the stairs and see if there's a store I can get medicine at up there." Which now that I think about it was a terrible idea anyway as I could have just stood on the platform but I think he assumed it might have been a while before another train came. We highly underestimated the way trains work there. I waddle onto the train with ALL of our belongings. Everything. And I see him dash up 2 or 3 stairs at a time. And that was the last thing I saw. In an instant my eyesight went blurry as the train doors closed and we took off with my husband, who could hardly introduce himself in Japanese, is left in the distance with no cell phone, no tablet or computer in a station into this day don't remember the name of. I panicked and a native couple stared at me in shock and distress. They clearly saw the whole thing and boy was I embarrassed. All I could say was "oh shit." And while it got a smile out of the boyfriend the girlfriend frantically looked around as if unsure how to even talk to me or if I even spoke Japanese, as most locals are there.
In a rush I ran off the train at the next stop, panicked and scared my husband's dumb self would run on the train tracks to get to me. But I asked a local man when the next train came and I definitely felt relif he understood me in my paniced broken Japanese and assured me another would come in 5-10 minutes. But to get onto the next train to where I was going I had to go to the opposite side of the tracks... to which you need to go upstairs for. SO imagine someone 5'4" with 6 bags likely twice the person's body weight.... going up one stair... then another. And another. Slowly. LOL yaaaa that was me. BUT! Two kind Japanese dudes my age helped me and by the time I got to the other side of the track thankfully I saw my panicked husband on the train that pulled in to a stop.
Needless to say, I learned to understand how trains worked in Japan in about 20 minutes LOL.
It was a tiny ass weed bag.
Cats are weird. :/
My days been okay. My chickens followed me around the yard today and watched me very carefully when I moved stuff around. They found a sweet spot full of crickets and hung out there the rest of the day. I've also been drawing my noodle a lot. :') My precious little bean.
I tried something new for dinner tonight and it was okay! I'm not 100% on it yet but it was different from what I usually make lmao Good ol' Okie soul food and tacos. A+
Im not wearing perfume today, unless you count wood smoke as perfume! We burned a pile of lumber and fire ants up in the blaze.
i should have probably known that
sorry you had to get shots in your buttcheek.
that's a bummer.
