Tutorial Suggestions; Chromophile Update
Hey guys! I finally updated chromophile.NET with my portfolio, blog, and a couple (currently) open commission applications, sketches and wing-its. :)
I'm here right now to ask you all though, what kind of tutorials would you like to see? And, if you had any questions about art, what may they be?
I'm sure a fair bit of us are upset over what's happening to the world when we try to promote peace and love, and somehow a hateful extremist finds their way to power. I want now more than ever to give back what I can, and so every tutorial on chromophile.NET will be free for everyone to access; to promote the growth of artists who will fight back against the hate with nothing but love. I know it's hard to do, when we're faced with worry and complete dehumanization, but hate has never beat hate. Not everyone will agree with me, as many of us are extremely angry and emotions are high, but I urge us all now to put that energy to positive influence, positive reinforcement, and make ourselves a healing nation of people.
So please, ask away any questions about art that would help enrich you and others. If you may, please leave a comment here in this journal, or use the comment section in my site on the tutorial page, here.
I'm finally at a stage where I feel confident in my artistic ability to give back to the community that's helped me support myself and my passion; although there's been extremely emotionally draining and hurtful moments here for me, I still feel the need to support people who want to love, show love, and accept everyone. At least, that is what I believe in us. I don't want to believe that we're hateful. I want to believe that we are strong. Stronger than hate. Stronger than love. Stronger than anything that stands against us. I want to believe that we fight for truth and peace for all, even if they hurt us, we can show the world that we won't stop fighting for what is right; the right to be who we are.
So, with that, I'm hoping that offering some of my insight into the pool of artistic information you can learn from, you can learn something for yourself; something you like to do, something that heals you and the people who see your creations. I'm not everyone's inspiration, but I just hope to put information out there that enriches you and helps you learn what you want and don't want in your artwork.
I hope teaching art by my perspective will help the young and old feel more confident in displaying their message. We all have one, we all have a voice, and now is the best time more than ever to share our art and voice with the world.
Thank you in advance for all of your suggestions. I look forward to discussing and writing out the tutorials, because I will be learning right alongside you by teaching you. <3

FA+

but man i'd love to see an inking / flat color tutorial and how you go about adding textures :o
Thank you very much for the suggestion, and for the compliment - much appreciated! <3
As far as a tutorial idea, I'd personally think texturing would be a great focus area. Least this way it can promote more realism and cascade a better flow over the artwork done. :D
I'd love to see something like that or how you shade!
Here's an example...

So for a tutorial idea, a refresh course on anatomy basics and body posing would sound nice. (^w^)
I really like the site so far ^^, i admire your artwork and hope to some day be as good as you :D
Maybe some sai brushes and such if you use that ; v ; /

Do tutorials on the most fundamental skills; you'll reach out to far more people that way. To get people into the right headspace.
Things to help complete beginners see some kind of encouraging results, and want to push themselves further instead of giving up.
New artists try to tackle 20 different things at once, and don't know wtf they're doing. That uncertainty, among other things, can make it rather daunting.
I wish I knew a lot of this stuff when I first started. XD
A great big hug and a loud "huzzah" for you!
its a calm page

Daily challenges of a drawing certain things. (Having one full day of drawing nothing but eyes or human anatomy parts)
Sketching VS Drawing and how you need to sketch more before you draw
Day one of drawing: Removing the word Perfect, out of your vocabulary. This is kind of toxic to most artist and is very limiting when first starting out to draw.
