This is weird, but I can see the art in it.

It looks rather Clutch Cargo to me.

I feel... kind of uneasy looking at this.
However - I can appreciate it as artwork.
Very different and interesting... yet, as I said, it makes me just feel somehow not-okay.
And I do feel that there is a message behind this...
But I wont get into that because of lolinternets sake

I love primordial creepy art.
It's amazing.

It's moderately interesting, and clearly shows someone who put a fair bit of work in, but it's got the classic highbrow flaw: it seems to be directed at people who already know the rules of the art world - it's for art critics, not for the general public. That's not necessarily bad, but it's definitely distinct from making art that the general public will care about.

Hahahah, these are fantastic. I love that they all have Texas Chainsaw Massacre faces, like these are things you might find in Leatherface's house.

I think it's hilarious, I laughed when I saw it.

Most of the time, taxidermied animals creep me out.

Oddly enough, my reaction to these is less of unease and more of "Oooooh, awesome."

I actually saw her stuff in a gallery a couple years ago! I took a bunch of pictures, but they are probably lost by now.

They still have animal fur and animal ears. They would be proper "furry opposites" if the sculptures showed full human heads with mostly hairless flesh. The only parts distinctly human are the faces, and I have never had much aesthetic appreciation for isolated faces, regardless of what they belong to.

It's weird, yeah, but it's so surreal and detailed. Just look at those faces, they look so real.

My feelings are complicated, somewhat. They depend partially on how the hides were acquired.
That being said, the sculpture is quite beautiful and has a significant meaning to me.

This is a very interesting concept, though! And some of them are kinda cute.

I'm more curious about how they were made than anything.

Ya know, at first I felt the faces were a little bit too emotionless, but then I thought that considering the amount of emoting that any of those animals actually do, that's actually pretty spot on.

That and the stitchiness seems pretty cool.

this reminds me of those leather human-meerkat things. i like these!
(actually I think it'd be pretty fucking rad to see some 'furry' characters like this - given how many are basically human bodies with an animal head, fur and a tail - let's see some that are basically animal bodies with a human head and hands!)

i would totally put some of these in my house, oh fuck yes. especially those mounted heads. :D
the "Night after Night" sculpture makes me think of the forest god from Mononoke Hime
... and i think the bears are fucking adorable.
