Car Accident.
So I got in my first Car Accident today.
I was driving up a 45MPH street on my way to my new job, and I had the sun directly in my eyes. My reaction was to put the visor down, but that only obstructed my vision more so my next choice was to put it back up and just slow the hell down. Well little did I know nor see due to the intensity of the direct light in my eyes there was a Big ass F150 pulling into that lane, and I ended up hitting him at 25-30 mph. No one was critically injured and me and the other driver was surprisingly forgiving and understanding, the sun was blinding him too. I did how ever receive minor injury's to my arms and a bloody nose and a bruise from the visor snapping off after the collision and smacking me in the face. I was at fault for this accident due to it being a rear end collision, but thankfully the other driver testified that the sun was pretty intense and was obstructing his vision too so I was not given a traffic ticket.
I am how ever lucky that I was able to walk away from this accident. The officer said a passenger would of been injured due to the air bags not deploying, and that my seat belt and size and body style of my trailblazer is what saved my ass. If I was not wearing my seat belt and driving something smaller than an SUV this afternoon I would of been in the ER or 6 feet in the ground. I mad as hell that I wrecked the car ive had for not even a year. My insurance told me to go get fucked so im out of a car, and I was forced to quit my job. but that can be replaced, people cant.
So friends, or future drivers, wear your god damn seatbelt, it saved me from going though the windshield and having a face full of wood chips in the bed of a f150. And if thew sun is in your eyes and you can see shit and you're not a about toe break check someone just slow down or pull over if you cant see.
But with all this said, Ive lost my car pretty much, therefore im kinda stuck, and I cant work, make money ect, so I wont be going to MFF this year and I doubt an opportunity will come charging through my door till I get my shit together.
Stay safe out there guys.
