I need feedback from YOU
Heya to all my watchers!
It's that time again when I feel a tad lost with my own work, as some of you probably know: I'm less of the type who creates for own enjoyment alone and more the type who enjoys
working together. Whenever you're a recent or longtime watcher, a fellow artist or a follower, your thoughts and opinions are important to me, so don't be afraid to say something.
I'm also curious to hear what kind of watchers I have in general, so the second portion of questions are more about you than me.
Feel free to skip any questions you can't think up an answer for! Also feel free to say anything else that comes to your mind :3
1. What was the reason you followed me for? What made you stick around?
2. What type of drawings do you most enjoy / find interesting from me? If you'd like you can link your favorite.
3. Are there any boring works of mine? What makes them uninteresting to you, which ones are they?
4. Is there anything you'd like to see me draw more of, specific themes, things, type of characters?
5. What kind of stuff do you think I should improve upon? A specific style, maybe some specific things?
6. What's your opinion on nsfw material, yay or nay? How much do these themes impact whenever you're going to watch someone?
7. What is the biggest factor in furry art that makes you enjoy it? What type of work do you generally aim to follow?
8. How much does an artist's personality and/or opinions matter to you when it comes to enjoying their work?
9. Tell me about the other artists you follow, who are your favorites and what do you most like about their work? (sneaky opportunity to find out new artists to follow xD)
10a. If you're also an artist, specifically in the furry genre, what keeps you motivated and inspired to keep creating furry content?
10b. If youre not an artist, what keeps you in this fandom? What do you enjoy the most?
(incase you wonder, I bolded every other line to make the questions easier to read, at least it seems better to me like that xD)

Personal interests aside, you're very receptive to your fans and watchers, even to guys like myself who can be unintentionally rude at times (sorry for anything I've done in the past, by the way), and it's really cool seeing you interact with your watchers. It's refreshing to see an artist who really loves the work she does and enjoys the characters as much as the person who created them.
As far as your art goes, I don't find any of it boring. While granted I am a fan of super colorful pieces, your more "simple" pieces with fewer colors are also quite captivating and gorgeous. When it comes to stuff I'd like to see more of, like I mentioned, I am a huge fan of color and light, so any of those pieces are always incredible for me to see. I personally don't see much that you can improve on at a glance, but I'm no artist, so my opinion is more or less moot in that scenario.
Moving onto NSFW material, I will admit, I have followed some artists because of their NSFW material, however, I do love watching some artists who do clean work such as yourself. When it comes to furry art, I like interacting with the artist and seeing cool effects or styles that are unique. Sometimes artists can have a very similar style, or aren't very interactive, or both. Putting your own comments or thoughts on a submission makes it a lot more personable, and allows to show more emotion in the piece, I think.
Because of reasons I mentioned above, one of my favorite artists (and a good friend!)
Finally, to address the last question, seeing as how I'm not an artist, I love the community that this fandom has. Yes, there are some people I'm not particularly a fan of, and sometimes more popular artists can be less-than-appealing to me because of their attitude, regardless of how good their art is, I've made a bunch of friends within the fandom, and it's nice being able to be in a community where for the most part, people are accepting and friendly!
Sorry for the long comment. I know I rambled a bit on some parts, but I hope I answered your questions more or less clearly. :P
And don't worry, I don't recall you saying anything rude, I remember you as one of those people who have been around for a long time :D Although I also tend to assume that anything that might sound rude is probably unintentional, communication online is not easy without the tone and body language. I've found that people very rarely want to purposely be rude, and a good thing in another culture might even be considered bad at another.
As you mentioned about putting something into the comments, I realize that I haven't written much in a lot of pieces I've posted recently. I think it's because a lot of times after creating something I feel sort of empty - I've given everything and it's done. I do actually think about a lot of things while I draw but they sort of go with the drawing, I should perhaps attempt to put them down when theres something potentially interesting. I recently did the 'art tips' journal which was actually a result of thoughts I had during a drawing.
I also enjoy this fandom because it's mostly so accepting and friendly - and of course it's the best since so many other people enjoy the same thing as I do, it's a good escape from the mostly depressing real world too - we've sort of created our own jobs, celebrities and fashions, I find that quite amazing!
I do want you to know I absolutely adore your artwork. I can talk about colors and such all day, so I won't go too much into it, but you do have such a gorgeous style that I can identify anywhere, and seeing some of your art fills me with the same emotion that the piece portrays. You are easily one of my favorite artists not only because of this, but I've seen how giddy you get when you do love a piece. I understand that empty feeling that you'be had and it's tough to break through, but you have a ton of supporters who love your work even more than I do.
Even if you have to take a break, never stop creating art. It truly is beautiful and there's so much I want to say about it that could amount to the length of a Shakespearean work should I type it out. Keep being amazing. You're one of the celebrities we've created as a community, at least in my book. C:
I don't watch many artists compared to some. While some have hundreds or even thousands that They watch, I can count those I watch on my hands and feet. I'm not trying to be elitist or put down any other of the incredible artists that are spread across this site, but from me to you, there'a so much that I admire about you, even past your artwork. I will be sticking around for a long time.
And hey, if you ever need someone to talk to, feel free to send me a note or something. I'm always down to talk. c:
1. What was the reason you followed me for? What made you stick around?
I really enjoy your lines and style. It's distinct and just generally fun to look at!
2. What type of drawings do you most enjoy / find interesting from me? If you'd like you can link your favorite.
I am not the person to actually tell people what they should draw, because I believe you should draw what you get the most fun out of. HOWEVER, I know why you ask this question and will just say: Anything cat. You are very good at cats. My fave has to be: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/17706709/
3. Are there any boring works of mine? What makes them uninteresting to you, which ones are they?
None are particullary "boring" I'd say.
4. Is there anything you'd like to see me draw more of, specific themes, things, type of characters?
Not really! Enjoyment usually brings out the best in the artist, so just go for what you love drawing!
5. What kind of stuff do you think I should improve upon? A specific style, maybe some specific things?
Any of this is too personal of a preference to actually bring up here, especially since I feel like many would disagree with me!
6. What's your opinion on nsfw material, yay or nay? How much do these themes impact whenever you're going to watch someone?
I usually overlook NSFW, or at least look at it for the way it's compsed. But it's not my cup of tea in general.
7. What is the biggest factor in furry art that makes you enjoy it? What type of work do you generally aim to follow?
I personally like the "slice of life" kind of furry art or anything that is cute. With slice of life, I mean Furries in a furry world, just doing everyday things. Seeing how different furries act and live in a world is always quite fun.
8. How much does an artist's personality and/or opinions matter to you when it comes to enjoying their work?
I try to just make sure artists are friendly, but also do voice their opinions and do say no if someone commissions them to draw something they'd usually not. But I know that money is sometimes the driving factor because some artists draw for a living.
I generally think, that no matter what opinions they have however, as long as an artist is usually nice, all is well. Even if they have opinions that not everyone agrees with.
9. Tell me about the other artists you follow, who are your favorites and what do you most like about their work? (sneaky opportunity to find out new artists to follow xD)
You might like https://www.furaffinity.net/user/shikaro/ if you don't already follow!
10a. If you're also an artist, specifically in the furry genre, what keeps you motivated and inspired to keep creating furry content?
Furries are so far, the most accepting group I have come across and it's always fun to interact with other furs. That, and I just really enjoy drawing my comic.
This will probably sound weird but I often ran into the problem that people tell me I should draw what I enjoy, but the truth is I rarely 'enjoy' like that as scary as that sounds. My inspiration and motivation sparks when I meet interesting people who are interested in seeing me draw something - of course this doesn't mean I love to draw everyones request, I have my limitations, preferences and I can't stand people who just use others for their personal gain. My personal interests are limited to animal, anthro and nature, but it's truly the people who inspire me to create something specific.
On answer 7) I have the same preferences! I love to see alternative worlds and how they function - creating and thinking about them is very fun as well c:
Every piece made by you its damm great and unique(idk if its because of your style or effort/love you put into those things), most importantly there not bad/boring artwork in your gallery and that's a achievement :)
Most of the times i watch artist it because of "clean" art, but also i dont nothing against more "adult" like art(sort of)
Honestly its hard to choose an artist that is really great from my watches.......maybe
Finally last awnser for last(10a) question: yes i'm a sort of artist(idk if [frag]moviemaking is consider here as a art, but whatever) not particularly furry and all what can have anything with furry is sometimes used model which an anthro wolf, but nothing more than that i guess
Ok, i guess its all for now i hope you'll have a good day :)
2) I like your "Character with SFX in the dark\simple background" like http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13453005/ ^_^ and one with my character from give-away
3) It is not really your works. May be sometimes here is to many toxic colours (Depending on my mood))
4) May be more drawing with daylight back? (I know here is 2) one)
5) I guess smooth colouring stuff
6) Not into this, at least into really hard one. I follow people with it if it is not primary thing
7) I like to see other's work. Usually it is Fantasy and Sci-fi
8) Usually it does not mater depends on situation
9) Hard to tell who really is :(
10a) Ingame stuff from Warcraft like worgens (I like their concept but rubbish visually X)),taurens and pandarens
i followed you when i was new to furries and digital art. your style was (and still is) what i imagine digital art to be, nice clean black lines that double as shading in areas and bold beautiful colors. i stuck around because even as i was exposed to other artists who may be technically "better" your style has a special place in my heart as something awesome
2. What type of drawings do you most enjoy / find interesting from me? If you'd like you can link your favorite.
uuuummmmm... http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11516499/ one of my favorites. it's hard to say what drawings i like most by you but i think if the character is happy or has a clear emotion, i tend to really enjoy those
3. Are there any boring works of mine? What makes them uninteresting to you, which ones are they?
i can't find any i would say are boring but if i had to i would say a basic commission like flat colors i like less. although, it's hit or miss with those too and i like a lot of them
4. Is there anything you'd like to see me draw more of, specific themes, things, type of characters?
i love your "painted" pieces and would really enjoy seeing some taurs, maybe less cute canines? you seem to like cats a lot x3 (i like dogs more so i guess i would naturally want to see more dogs)
5. What kind of stuff do you think I should improve upon? A specific style, maybe some specific things?
honestly you have a beautiful grasp on colors, backgrounds, lines and more but if you want to try some new stuff you should try semi-realism and less rounded outlines. you tend to keep very rounded outlines so it would be neat to see a sharper and flatter style
6. What's your opinion on nsfw material, yay or nay? How much do these themes impact whenever you're going to watch someone?
yay and they actually don't impact if i'm going to watch an artist. it can be weird to deal with certain fetishes but most of the time i just enjoy the style
7. What is the biggest factor in furry art that makes you enjoy it? What type of work do you generally aim to follow?
a cool or unique style is huge for me. i love seeing different approaches to something cuz they can be so very different and still be the same subject, style can make or break the image
8. How much does an artist's personality and/or opinions matter to you when it comes to enjoying their work?
it matters to a certain extent, an artist i followed a long time ago didn't have great art but they had a lot of stories about their life that reflected their art and it was really cool to see despite the art being kinda meh. on the other hand i followed someone recently and i'm considering unwatching them because they're very opinionated and annoying about their ideas.
9. Tell me about the other artists you follow, who are your favorites and what do you most like about their work? (sneaky opportunity to find out new artists to follow xD)
well you're my favorite but here are some i found interesting: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/rainbowfoxy http://www.furaffinity.net/user/missmillerz http://www.furaffinity.net/user/beastfromhell/ http://www.furaffinity.net/user/kaprikaaz/ they all have a style i found to be unique and interesting in some way
10a. If you're also an artist, specifically in the furry genre, what keeps you motivated and inspired to keep creating furry content?
art is honestly the only thing i've done my whole life. i may not be talented but i've worked for every bit of skill that i have and animals have been the subject of my art since forever. also, seeing cool art and amazing styles keep me inspired.
10b. If you're not an artist, what keeps you in this fandom? What do you enjoy the most?
if i wasn't an artist i would stay for the amazing art and stories. i love furry comics, some are impressively good like red lantern http://www.rukiscroax.com/redlanter.....RL-page1-2.htm or Plus1 *nudge nudge wink wink*
hope my feedback was helpful :3
Also thank you for your reply!
you can draw whatever you want tho, i'll enjoy it either way <3
2. I'm not really sure how to narrow it down, but here's two I really like: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/15474042/ http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14025498/
3. I looked through your gallery and couldn't find anything I'd remotely consider "boring". To frame the question another way, the stuff that jumps out at me the most seems to be interesting scenes (art with backgrounds) and/or things of species I particularly like (felines!).
4. I like romantic themes/settings, and you pull it off really well. But something I'd REALLY like to see more of is the style you use for comics: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21188631/ http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18864298/
5. I don't feel I know enough about art to offer any solid critique, sorry.
6. I'm probably in the minority here, but what I like is romantic, sensual, and/or just plain cuddly stuff - I don't usually care much for outright NSFW stuff unless it also has those other aspects.
7. The specifics of how the characters are shaped/drawn/stylized. There's a lot of ways you can draw animal people. Faces/heads are especially important.
8. If an artist is an exceptionally nice person, that sticks out in my mind. If an artist is... not a nice person, that'll weigh down on whatever art I see from them and maybe make me a little less likely to
keep up with their work. Everything I've seen from you (journals, twitter posts, etc) has left me with a very positive impression, so no worries there.
9. Hard to pick favorites really, depends on what I'm in the mood for. A lot of my "favorite" artists are ones that cater to specific/niche interests of mine, haha. When it comes to more general furry art, Keihound might count as a favorite - the piece I got from them ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19138587/ ) is one of my favorite commissions, anyway. The way they made the spots follow the shapes of the body and fur really impressed me.
10b. Not an artist,so, hm... I'd say the culture of the community. Sure it has its problems and varies place to place, but overall it's the friendliest most open place I've been. It's the only community where I feel I can be 100% me without worries.
Also I'm with you on the answer 6), but I suppose that's more or less something a person just happens to prefer x3
I also really enjoy it when markings follow the anatomy & texture! I suppose that's also one of the reasons I really love patterns and markings, tingling those artistic senses when they're going correctly.
- I adore your feline muzzles! Also, your colouring is amazing and eye catching.
2. What type of drawings do you most enjoy / find interesting from me? If you'd like you can link your favorite.
- That's really hard. I'm always a fan of cell shaded/harder shaded work than painting, but in your case that also blurs. My two favourite pieces of yours at the moment [after taking a quick peak in your gallery] are http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18695633/ and http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17706709/. I guess the smaller things interest me more, rather than the full scenes!
3. Are there any boring works of mine? What makes them uninteresting to you, which ones are they?
- I wouldn't call it boring as it's the wrong word. The piece I'm the least keen on so far, though, is this one - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17698730/. However its becoming clear I'm colourblind to certain shades, and I can't really see many details on very single-hued pieces, if that makes sense? So I'm not sure if its the piece or my own issues that causes issues.
4. Is there anything you'd like to see me draw more of, specific themes, things, type of characters?
- I'd never say no to more felines~. I also love Theo. Hmm. Otherwise, I'd only suggest doing a few smaller pieces rather than big ones. Maybe post up more doodles? I'm unsure.
In terms of commissions, smaller is better at the moment. Its a rough time of year for buying stuff, and it's been a tough year on currency too. I've always wanted to grab something from you but I 1) lack an active furry character right now and 2) don't have enough around to pay for something big. Though admittedly I'm kicking myself for not grabbing telegram stickers from you when I had the chance!
5. What kind of stuff do you think I should improve upon? A specific style, maybe some specific things?
- Nothing screams out to be improved on, honestly. All of your work is pretty much spot on.
6. What's your opinion on nsfw material, yay or nay? How much do these themes impact whenever you're going to watch someone?
- I'm all for NSFW, but I like naked bodies. I'm not overly keen on very sexual stuff, but I still watch artists who do that kind of thing because my partner is all for it. It doesn't really impact me either way.
7. What is the biggest factor in furry art that makes you enjoy it? What type of work do you generally aim to follow?
- The imagination. All of the wonderful ideas, combinations of species and landscapes. I've always been a roleplayer but I'm more into visual references, and furry art was the gateway to me getting my own characters drawn. For that reason, I generally aim to follow more fantasy based art with a cartoon-y style rather than overly realistic.
8. How much does an artist's personality and/or opinions matter to you when it comes to enjoying their work?
- I very rarely unfollow if an artists attitude annoys me. I'm a little more likely to unfollow on certain opinions as both my Mum and I are disabled and woah, some of the things people say are too far. However, a friendly personality makes me enjoy an artists work even more, and makes me more likely to interact!
9. Tell me about the other artists you follow, who are your favorites and what do you most like about their work? (sneaky opportunity to find out new artists to follow xD)
- I adore Chillisart. She's been such a good friend to me as well as an amazing artist, and I will always suggest her when people ask. She's the sort of artist where her friendly personality has helped me enjoy her art more, and her style has evolved beautifully. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21520389/ is my favourite piece by her right now!
All in all, I tend to watch more people who do some human art because that's where my interests are currently set. Those that I watch that do purely furry either do amazing cats, dragons or aquatic species, or have some really funky hybrid/alien ideas. Imagination is so much fun.
10b. If youre not an artist, what keeps you in this fandom? What do you enjoy the most?
- The stories. The people. DeviantArt got on my nerves very quickly, because people feel fake a lot of the time. I don't know if it's to protect themselves [which I fully understand!] or if they feel its the best way to act towards customers...who knows. Here, people seem far more willing to be open, to chat, to share ideas and discuss all sorts of things! The community in general can be incredible, and I really enjoy those moments where we all interact. It's why I've stayed here despite moving to human characters; because you're all wonderful people.
I think my problem with smaller pieces is that I don't actually spend that much less time on them - I pay a lot of attention to composition and try to detail closeups equally as much as full scenes (you see them closer so you see more detail, basically). Whiiich results in having to charge quite a lot for "smaller" stuff and I suppose in people's eyes less of character should cost equally less. All kinds of works are open all the time tho (last time I had a halfbody commission I somehow accidentally made it fullbody tho, but the customer was okay with that ^^;)
Also those telegram stickers are still open~ After all slots are done I'm considering ways to make them faster to do (cheaper) for those with less income, perhaps unshaded and with a bunch of ready bases.
I'm going to hop back and have a peak at the telegram stickers now, though I'd be very very interested in a base set too if you do decide to do that! All little cute things get a big thumbs up from me.
You have a very unique style that goes well with cute, sexy and badass and you paint pretty good backgrounds.
2. What type of drawings do you most enjoy / find interesting from me? If you'd like you can link your favorite.
Action! Not necessarily blood-pumping fight scenes but characters doing something or interacting with each other instead of just posing, for instance this is a good scene that doesn't involve heavy movement http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21094930/
3. Are there any boring works of mine? What makes them uninteresting to you, which ones are they?
None in particular but I find ref sheets to be the least interesting
4. Is there anything you'd like to see me draw more of, specific themes, things, type of characters?
I love your silly comics
5. What kind of stuff do you think I should improve upon? A specific style, maybe some specific things?
Machinery, such as guns, vehicles, equipment. That's something you don't draw much and when you do it feels less refined than the rest making the image look uneven.
6. What's your opinion on nsfw material, yay or nay? How much do these themes impact whenever you're going to watch someone?
Only a factor if it's some weird fetishes that creeps me out like scat, guro, pedo. Otherwise if it means more art from any given artist then sure.
7. What is the biggest factor in furry art that makes you enjoy it? What type of work do you generally aim to follow?
I like the wide variety of designs that come from it, it doesn't get boring because most characters don't look like most other characters.
8. How much does an artist's personality and/or opinions matter to you when it comes to enjoying their work?
A bunch really. If someone is a dick to fans, doesn't care, or makes out-of-place inflammatory political or religious commentary, i'll just reserve my time to more friendly artists.
9. Tell me about the other artists you follow, who are your favorites and what do you most like about their work? (sneaky opportunity to find out new artists to follow xD)
I specially like artists who make up their own worlds and characters to go in it, or that make amazing detailed art. Some good picks are
10a. If you're also an artist, specifically in the furry genre, what keeps you motivated and inspired to keep creating furry content?
Well I'm willing to get back to it, but I like when I make people happy with my art.
10b. If youre not an artist, what keeps you in this fandom? What do you enjoy the most?
This fandom doesn't have a large amount of fantards. People are eager to see other's original criation opposed to getting an overflow of fancharacters or a lot of popular artists who only ever do fanart.
Also thanks for pointing out Whitemantis, I keep forgetting to follow her because I read the profile pic "get back to work" aaaaannnd then I'm like 'oh yea I should" - and half the time I think I am following already (maybe I am somewhere).
2. The most I enjoy scenes depicting everyday life, not only realistic in terms of our world, like: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20360809/
6. I don't mind NSFW art, it's everybody right to make/watch it, but I prefer SFW. If someones gallery is mostly composed of porn I probably won't watch them.
7. Anthro artwork appeal to me much more than human or even feral, I don't fully understand why is that.
8. It doesn't matter to me who the author is to enjoy their artwork.
9. There is already to many of them to list XD. I choose artists by their style, if it appeals to me I will watch them no mater if it's realistic or toony.
10a. I'm a begging writer, I have quite big problem with motivation to continue working, but what motivates me the most is positive feedback from readers, it's a vicious circle.
10b. This fandom attracted me since the day I found about it. What now keeps me in the fandom are friends I made through it.
Your art and you looks cool. o.o
2. What type of drawings do you most enjoy / find interesting from me? If you'd like you can link your favorite.
It actually depends of the style or the idea, or the work on it. o.o
3. Are there any boring works of mine? What makes them uninteresting to you, which ones are they?
None for me.
4. Is there anything you'd like to see me draw more of, specific themes, things, type of characters?
Nope. You can draw anything you want. Except if it's start to be extreme hardcore fetish. I don't judge fetish it's jusI'm not comfy with everything.
5. What kind of stuff do you think I should improve upon? A specific style, maybe some specific things?
Just keep to draw and work on each styles.
6. What's your opinion on nsfw material, yay or nay? How much do these themes impact whenever you're going to watch someone?
As I said I don't judge NSFW, people can do anyhting they want as long it don't hurt somebody against his will.
7. What is the biggest factor in furry art that makes you enjoy it? What type of work do you generally aim to follow?
Creativity or designs or talent or just if the artist is friendly.
8. How much does an artist's personality and/or opinions matter to you when it comes to enjoying their work?
As long an artist is respectful or neutral I don't mind. I just want leave nice and respectful comment to them.
9. Tell me about the other artists you follow, who are your favorites and what do you most like about their work? (sneaky opportunity to find out new artists to follow xD)
The list is long but I'll pick some like
10a. If you're also an artist, specifically in the furry genre, what keeps you motivated and inspired to keep creating furry content?
10b. If youre not an artist, what keeps you in this fandom? What do you enjoy the most?
I'm not an artist, more a writter. I have some projects about furries.
That was fun to answer all this. :D
2. What type of drawings do you most enjoy / find interesting from me? Scenes that are telling a bit of a story. An action oriented scene where something is happening. Solos can be nice, but some times backgrounds give more context.

3. Are there any boring works of mine? What makes them uninteresting to you, which ones are they? Usually icons. While they are lovely, no one ever goes for any interesting expressions most of the time. LOL Also, pinups, portraits, pieces where the character is just a pretty subject to look at who is looking back at you. This isn't a reflection of you as an artist, just a bit samey to me as those kind of pieces CAN be interesting and different, but I rarely see them done in a non-underwear model way. LOL
4. Is there anything you'd like to see me draw more of, specific themes, things, type of characters? I'd love to see a greater variety of expression, themes, and body-types. :D
5. What kind of stuff do you think I should improve upon? A specific style, maybe some specific things? Some pieces that aren't as dramatic with value & saturation. I think some pictures are either too dark or too bleached out. Some restricted palettes or mood pieces or a certain themed colors pieces would be nice.
6. What's your opinion on nsfw material, yay or nay? How much do these themes impact whenever you're going to watch someone? I'm not into NSFW personally. As long as everything is usually tagged properly like adult & mature, I don't have too much of an issue, unless the person start making primarily or about 50% adult content. At that point, there's no point in watching them since I won't see most of their art anyways. And while people always point at the filter, it's still not a replacement for a tagging system. There's quite a bit of stuff that doesn't get filtered out that is definitely NOT SFW. LOL
7. What is the biggest factor in furry art that makes you enjoy it? What type of work do you generally aim to follow? I always love seeing something that gives me insight either into the character or a story. Something about the character's personality that isn't just them being cute, badass, or sexy. Pieces that feature a real or fictional culture within it. Things that are slice of life and occasionally display a conflict that isn't necessarily vent/angsty or violent.
8. How much does an artist's personality and/or opinions matter to you when it comes to enjoying their work? A lot. I'll be less likely to watch someone if I know that they actively display traits I think are insufferable. The furry community is full of young people, who are often immature, even in business. If I ever want to commission a person and I know they're irresponsible with their money, speak badly about clients/others without just cause (financial issues), may generally have personal beliefs against persons such as myself (class, ethnicity, familial status) it generally makes me less likely to watch/commission them. What if I need to talk over commission details or edits with them? I've had a lot of bad experiences with people here on FA and it's made me very wary of people who are, at the very least, unprofessional.
9. Tell me about the other artists you follow, who are your favorites and what do you most like about their work?
10b. If youre not an artist, what keeps you in this fandom? What do you enjoy the most? The few amazing people I've met here. My sweetheart of nearly 4 year, close friends, and the memories I have of them. Art is sometimes a great way to capture memories and good-times with your beloved ones. So... a lot of people may think I take my art getting too seriously, but my gallery is full of good, clean fun. :)
I hope I haven't rambled on TOO much. xD Thank you for reading of all of it if you did.
-I followed you because I loved the detail and effort you put into your art, as well as how damn adorable you can make your characters. I stick around because everytime you upload new art, I know it will be amazing.
2. What type of drawings do you most enjoy / find interesting from me? If you'd like you can link your favorite.
-I find them all interesting! I don't really have a favourite, otherwise I'd be linking you your gallery.
3. Are there any boring works of mine? What makes them uninteresting to you, which ones are they?
-I don't really find them boring. I suppose the most I can think of is when there's a very plain or minimalist background; but then once I look at what the main focus is, it doesn't matter because of the extra effort on that subject.
4. Is there anything you'd like to see me draw more of, specific themes, things, type of characters?
-Bats! Heh, no, I'm joking. When I can afford something from you sure. But joking aside, I think it's less what we want, and more what you want. It's your art after all; your customers provide information, and after that, you decide everything in your art. No point doing art if you don't enjoy what's being asked.
5. What kind of stuff do you think I should improve upon? A specific style, maybe some specific things?
-I don't really think there's anything art-wise you can improve on. Perhaps you could be more confident in your art; I understand it's natural to ask others what they think, but with your quality level, there's very little-actually, there's no reason to feel like you need to be justified in improvement and ability.
6. What's your opinion on nsfw material, yay or nay? How much do these themes impact whenever you're going to watch someone?
-NSFW doesn't bother me. I follow artists for their quality as much as the topic. I've got artists who deal in pure SFW, and pure NSFW. The ultimate choice is what you're willing to do; even if you lose some followers, you're sure to gather more as well.
7. What is the biggest factor in furry art that makes you enjoy it? What type of work do you generally aim to follow?
-For me it depends. I like art whether it's cute, fluffy, 3D or 2D, bloody, adult or not... As long as the art is enough for me to enjoy it, and I know that it will make me smile or react in the way that's expected, then it's good enough to follow.
8. How much does an artist's personality and/or opinions matter to you when it comes to enjoying their work?
-I suppose it matters a fair bit. In this example, I love your work and always enjoy it. It's infrequent, which isn't bad because of the effort you put in; but because it is, I'm always pleasantly surprised when I see you in my new submissions list. Sure, I might feel a bit sad if an artist doesn't feel their work is any good, but I can't force them to either.
9. Tell me about the other artists you follow, who are your favorites and what do you most like about their work? (sneaky opportunity to find out new artists to follow xD)
-Hmm. Mostly they have art that caught my eye. Sometimes they still have that style, others have changed their style since I started following. What I like most is that they haven't given up and are still pushing it out.
10a. If you're also an artist, specifically in the furry genre, what keeps you motivated and inspired to keep creating furry content?
-Well, I write a little, so I don't know if it's applicable, but I'll bite. What keeps me motivated and inspired, when I'm writing, is the fact that it's a way for me to explore something that makes me and other people happy.
2. I like the paintings with pretty colors. Obviously, my favorite is going to be the commission you did for me based on my favorite song.
3. I dunno. Not really.
4. I feel like there's been a lack of sci-fi recently. Also, some more personal work would be cool. I'd like to see more of the Luceiry world.
5. I'm no artist, so I wouldn't know what you could improve on even if there were things to improve on. I guess you always say that urban environments give you trouble, so maybe that?
6. Nope! Nopenopenope! All of my nope! I have a policy to never support anyone who does NSFW. If it's very light artistic nudity ON OCCASION, I might make an exception, but things start to get grey when I see those blue and red outlines in a gallery. If an artist I'm already watching goes NSFW, it's an instant unwatch and, if I've ever gotten anything from them, deletion of said works from my galleries. Why am I like this? Because I've had some traumatic experiences involving NSFW and it's gotten to the point where sexual things give me nightmares. A dream about sex keeps me up at night in fear, whereas a dream about being chased by a serial killer is perfectly normal for me.
7. I suppose I like the character designs. The fur patterns and interesting character themes are pretty cool. Most of the time, I like to find artists with a realistic/semi-realistic style. Unfortunately, these seem to be the ones that draw NSFW the most. Obviously from my previous answer, I look for SFW-only artist.
8. Sometimes personality/opinions comes into play. Particularly when it comes to getting commissions done. I much prefer commissioning someone who will talk with me and make sure they get it right rather than someone who is like "Okay I did it. End of." even if it's not good.
9. I really like http://dansyron.deviantart.com/ and his animations. They're totally badass.
10b. Literally the only things that keeps me in this fandom are the fact that I've cemented my main character as an anthro and the facct that I've spent well over $1000 on commissions. I HATE when what I pay for feels like I'm getting screwed and scammed. That's EXACTLY the feeling I feel when someone I've spent money on goes NSFW and I'm forced to remove what I bought. And that's EXACTLY how I'd feel if I left the fandom. Considering you're the artist that I've spent the most money on, I beg you to not go NSFW. I'd probably just quit life from the depression that would ensue...
2) I love your nature backgrounds, as well as the element themed pieces you do (ice generally being my favorite). as far as characters go you are very much a reptile/feline artist (at least it seems to me you enjoy drawing those the most). I also love watching your style evolve, that was my initial reason for watching you :3
3) I can't think of any works of yours i find boring, but I don't always look at everything i see you (or anyone else i'm currently watching) post... not sure why I do that...
4) I have seen very few "creepy" characters from you, but the ones i have seen have been some of my favorite pieces you've done. your Cheshire cat picture coming prominently to mind.
5) improvement is a gradual process, your style changes with time and how you feel and what you like. I have enjoyed watching your style progress from when i first started watching you up to now, and will likely continue to enjoy the changes you might not even realize you're making in it.
6) This one is... Tricky? Many of the artists i watch are primarily porn artists, however it's not the fact that they draw nsfw material that draws me to their art... generally. I personally enjoy the uniqueness of people, all of the differences, and i feel like those are much more noticeable in nsfw pieces. I am a bit of a perv and do enjoy porn as such, but I also appreciate the effort that goes into it. figuring out poses and liquids and the way parts of people move when manipulated in various manners, it's a bit like mixing science and art, both of which i love, so it's nice to see there are people that put that kind of effort into this sort of stuff... but I also know that inappropriate things are not everyone's cup of tea and i also respect that.
7) I think what draws me to furry art is the openness of this fandom. everyone can like what they want to like and it's likely they'll find some of it here. there are also the things i don't like... certain fetishes are either too bizarre for me to find any enjoyment in, or flat out gross me out... but there are people that like it and it's out there for them, and unlike DA you don't have people looking for that kind of stuff that don't like it so they can shit-talk the artists and their fans. I tend to follow artists whose art styles i enjoy (and have derived parts from to develop my own style) or whose content I find appealing... hence my many porn-artists watches TT_TT
8) If I don't enjoy the artists as a person I find their art somewhat harder to enjoy, but I do try to be unbiased, because even though i may not agree with their views and values, i do generally still enjoy their art, and will just avoid interaction with them and enjoy their work.
9) My list isn't the longest... but I'm not great at picking people out of a hat... and i really don't wanna try putting my whole list here.
10a) Well... Most of my characters are anthropomorphic in some way, others are demons or monsters, but mostly anthros... Also I'm really not that great at drawing humans (i had a bad phase where i thought Japanese anime was the coolest thing in the world and i still can't seem to dredge my human characters far enough out of that style for my liking) so i stick with what I'm at least marginally good at, which happens to be furries and monsters... also, despite my rather small following, i do get feedback now and then and that is helpful to me, it makes me feel like i'm making progress, or at least that someone liked it enough to tell me so, or what i could have done to make a piece better.
You do really good looking and cute art and I like how your style looks, also most of it is interesting to me way or another. :3 Also you're rather industrous so I see new things often from you, and I tend to stick around at least to some capacity as long as someone doesn't go entirely silent.
2. What type of drawings do you most enjoy / find interesting from me? If you'd like you can link your favorite.
Various character pictures such as https://www.furaffinity.net/view/18301418/ and https://www.furaffinity.net/view/16721788/ because I think they just look great, your minicomics like https://www.furaffinity.net/view/17564422/ since I like the style and the content usually, and 'special' things such as macro furs https://www.furaffinity.net/view/17527262/ :P
3. Are there any boring works of mine? What makes them uninteresting to you, which ones are they?
Characters which I don't find interesting as characters, I tend to gloss over, ditto for nature scenes and so on - it's not that they are bad but it's mostly just that they don't evoke any feelings in me because of the content.
4. Is there anything you'd like to see me draw more of, specific themes, things, type of characters?
Bellies. xP But to be more serious, I've always liked to see you draw felines, dragons/scalies, macros, futuristic clothing, and detailed backgrounds in general.
6. What's your opinion on nsfw material, yay or nay? How much do these themes impact whenever you're going to watch someone?
I'm naturally very much "Yay" for NSFW (and NSFL) material, so it plays a large role when I follow people but it's not an obligatory requirement because I like good art in general - also there are many common NSFW subjects which are totally uninteresting or turn-offish for me so it varies.
7. What is the biggest factor in furry art that makes you enjoy it? What type of work do you generally aim to follow?
For me the order of priority is usually "Is there interesting content" and then "Do I like how it looks style-wise", I'm willing to forgive a good deal of lack of artistic talent as long as there's an interesting premise and the style has promise.
8. How much does an artist's personality and/or opinions matter to you when it comes to enjoying their work?
Not all that much, I rarely pay attention to political opinions unless they are very pushy and egregious, and I simply distance myself from artists with a difficult personality while I keep following their work, so usually I only run into this issue if they start outright attacking their watchers (has happened few times). I just won't commission people who I find bothersome or comment on their works.
9. Tell me about the other artists you follow, who are your favorites and what do you most like about their work? (sneaky opportunity to find out new artists to follow xD)
I could answer this but I don't think it would be a good idea for you to even check out most of them. >:3
10b. If youre not an artist, what keeps you in this fandom? What do you enjoy the most?
I mostly enjoy the interaction with others who don't condemn me for meaningless things and who allow me to be a silly cat in addition to everything else, all the art and literature is a good bonus as well. :3
3. I wouldn't really say boring, but I find anything to dark uninteresting. I don't really care to struggle to see art.
4. Less dark art, most of you gallery is in shadow/nighttime.
6. yay. Sfw/nsfw doesn't directly impact whether or not I watch someone.
7. Furry art, it's better then humans for some reason. Positive feeling art, there is to much negative in real life, I don't need more in art I see.
8. I try not to let them, but if I get to a point I don't like the artist, I also don't like the art anymore.
9.
1. What was the reason you followed me for? What made you stick around?
I like your style, and you also just seem like a great person in general! Someone who'd be fun to message on telegram and just chat with; I just haven't asked because you probably talk to way too many people already.
2. What type of drawings do you most enjoy / find interesting from me? If you'd like you can link your favorite.
I follow a lot of NSFW stuff, so it's honestly refreshing sometimes to see more art. Plus I enjoy your comics a fair amount, they seem really honest and are great at helping me understand the do's and dont's of this fandom!
3. Are there any boring works of mine? What makes them uninteresting to you, which ones are they?
Not really but I also don't really take art in for too long unless I really like a specific piece, this goes of all artists.
4. Is there anything you'd like to see me draw more of, specific themes, things, type of characters?
Nope! Don't change! Maybe be more proud of your cat sona though!
5. What kind of stuff do you think I should improve upon? A specific style, maybe some specific things?
Not qualified to say much here.
6. What's your opinion on nsfw material, yay or nay? How much do these themes impact whenever you're going to watch someone?
While I do love some NSFW art, it has a very different feel to it and I think if you were to try it you might want to make a seperate account; sex is a lot more gratification-based art as opposed to just making things look nice, meaning you have to worry about what people are and aren't into as well.
7. What is the biggest factor in furry art that makes you enjoy it? What type of work do you generally aim to follow?
If I knew the answer to this I'd tell you =p
8. How much does an artist's personality and/or opinions matter to you when it comes to enjoying their work?
A lot, actually. It is a huge turn off for me when someone has a garbage/judgemental/unforgiving personality, because this world is hard enough as it is and no one is perfect, you know? It needs more compassion.
9. Tell me about the other artists you follow, who are your favorites and what do you most like about their work? (sneaky opportunity to find out new artists to follow xD)
ruaidri is probably one of my favorite artists; there is some NSFW stuff there but they draw some beauuutiful watercolor and every picture drawn is a treat, even if I'm not always into the specific fetish shown
10a. If you're also an artist, specifically in the furry genre, what keeps you motivated and inspired to keep creating furry content?
I'm not =P Have had some awful experiences with this community and I'm mainly here to be honest with myself and it's people like you that give me hope for better and make me feel a little more sane! I still need to draw my reference picture, actually.
10b. If youre not an artist, what keeps you in this fandom? What do you enjoy the most?
See above~
I followed you because I happened to see something you did, liked it, and then liked a lot of your stuff in your gallery. Can't say why I like it in particular or what I liked, but I did.
I'm semi-indifferent on NFSW art. I don't have a preference for it, though sometimes it can be cool. but for the most part I prefer SFW stuff. General themes do make a difference on if I follow them though; if I find myself cringing at most of the past stuff then I rather not follow.
As for other people I really like and follow, (I'll butcher names a bit here) Rehgan, Merfiller, Aokmaidu, ViciousPiano, yy6241, cuson, and Eyrich, are among that list. Generally I really like the stuff they do, either in theme or how they draw (I'm a sucker for dragons and bara guys and (I guess sketchy) style stuff)
I am not an artist (okay, not a good one. Only draw when bored af and am trying to learn not to place any stock in it; that leads to nihilistic depression), and I have no idea why the hell I'm still aroudn here. I suppose for lack of other things I'd rather do and out of habit. I've been browsing here for years now, and its the one site I havent had to worry about my parents finding (users only mode, you are a godsend) and that has worked on literally every device I've tried (Wii, 3DS, old laptop with super shit specs (I'm talking under 256 MBs RAM here)). Theres a few comics I follow sure, and a group I help mod true, but its not like I talk to many/any people here.
The second question is a hard one... What I really love about your art is how well you do lighting, glowing stuff and vivid colors. There is only one single drawing you did which I didn't really find that interesting (Floral Festoon), which is mostly due to the fact that I didn't really find the character interesting (no offense to whoever this character belongs to. It's just my opinion/taste).
As for improving, I don't really see anything obvious (I do some graphics design stuff but only very little "real drawing" thus I'm nowhere near a level where I would be able to help you :P)
As for NSFW I don't really care as long as the art is good but in general I prefer cute SFW art :3
As for furry art I love the creative freedom that comes with all the species and fictional worlds leading to awesome, colorful character designs (and a lot of fluff :D).
The personality of an artist usually don't really bother me, as long as they aren't complete asses. That being said I don't really know the personality of a lot of artists. Iirc the only furry artists I ever wrote with are Falvie and you (and all the people that were in the chat during streams ^^) and both of you seem to have a nice and calm personality.
Other artists I follow are Falvie, Lukiri, Angiewolf, Kiwi, Nayel-ie and a lot of others. If I'd had to choose my favorite 3 they'd be You, Falvie and Lukiri.
Things that keep me inside the fandom are mostly creativity, nice people and great art. No other fandom I saw has this amount of awesome content creators and I don't understand why there is any hate against furries in some parts of the world (gladly not where I live. The worst thing that could happen is a strange look or two when you are sitting somewhere public and have a suggestive furry drawing as your wallpaper xD).
2, I most enjoy the one you did for me as Eclipse, since I was and still are super flattered and you finding Eclipse the most interesting in a contest you did a while back.
3, There does not seem to be any artwork that is truly uninteresting, while it may not be something that strikes my fancy there is nothing as of yet where i just look at it and think its poorly done or boring overall.
4, Cute quadrupeds always need more love! Mostly I just like seeing artists explore somewhat unusual characters, and themes.
5, I do not think I have seen you do any major sci-fi pieces, or taurs. Or maybe my memory is just bad? Admittattely this question is quite subjective.
6, NSFW material is just as good as clean material, just for a different sort of reasons so I never mind seeing them. And truly for me though SFW/NSFW is not a consideration from me when watching artists. I look for the style and skills of the artist.
7, Gonna sound very self centered, but OBVIOUSLY art of my characters is a huge soft spot. However, in a more general sense I like to see visually interesting characters and especially like to see some lesser done focuses. Beautiful backgrounds, interesting situations, different takes on things.
8, A lot, artists that are nice and approachable makes a HUGE difference. Especially if I am considering comissioning, someone friendly and well mannered is always going to be nicer to work with or speak to than otherwise.
9, Fortuna, Accelo, Sabretoothedermine, and Punisa. The first two have lovely, super crisp and clean art that manages to make almost anything look adorable. The latter two are just phenominally talented and manage to produce some fabulously detailed work.
10b, I'm not an artist, but seeing good artists put characters to paper is always a fantastic experience. There is so much variety and thoughts in characters and art, its fascinating.
2. I enjoy work that reflects more personally from the artist. Usually that's just art that aren't commissions. I particularly like this one because I feel that I can relate to it: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16529923/
3. Anything that I would remotely consider boring is anything pr0n related. I occasionally keep my filter on but I keep receiving links from friends that force me to turn it back off just to see what it is.
4. I enjoy personal work the most. That can be anything drawn for yourself.
5. Seeing that I doubt that I could imitate anything in your gallery, I think you're fine. I guess I could make a comment on anything glowy but I'd just make myself look bad. I tend to give anything glowing a white core so that it seems brighter when I add the outer glow. And I usually aim to blind myself. But that just reflects my eyes in real life. They're sensitive to light. My daily life feels like a JJ Abrams film.
6. If their gallery is full of teh pr0ns it all just comes down to how much do I like their style. Can I learn from it?
7. I like furry art because it's cute. And I like cute things. I normally follow people who draw for themselves but these days, everybody is trying to make a living on something so I understand that a lot of people can't really do that.
8. I'm always happy to hear an artist's opinion on something. I don't always say anything because I'm usually neutral in whatever it is.
9. Most of the artists that I loved to follow have either moved on to another site I'm not part of or just gave up drawing completely. Rudragon is still around. I like Rudragon.
10a. I actually don't draw furry things as much as I thought I was going to. I just love seeing it. Gosh, now I feel disappointing.
10b. I thought I'd come here to try new things and expand my dying audience. But I never did. But I did make a friend here that makes it hard for me to leave.
2. The drawings with interesting/dramatic poses. I love your background work, but it always feels like the characters take a backseat in how interested they are in general.
3. As I said above, it feels like a lot more attention goes into making the character "fit" in the scene then making them look interesting pose-wise. It makes sense a lot of the time, so I can understand it. But certainly something I skip over more often than not! Pieces like http://www.furaffinity.net/full/21608607/ While there is nothing wrong with them, its a calming piece. But it just doesn't grab me.
4. I personally really enjoy neon, bright colors, and deep darks in line work.
6. I have no real preference to NSFW art, so long as you seem to enjoy it and its not strictly for a cash grab. If the artist isn't enjoying it, then it seems to come through the work and I can't enjoy it as much either.
7. The biggest factor? I mean, I started in the fandom because I am face-blind. So furries are much more recognizable. That and the creativity of the fandom helps keep things interesting around here. So mixing it up a bit is something I like seeing. Either in subject matter or experimenting with style is really cool to see.
8. I followed one artist once that I ADORE their work. But they were so. freaking. vocal. about saying how awesome they are. Even if it was in a joking manner (which I couldn't quite tell, since they were the nicest person when I met them at a con) it still kinda ruined it for me and I couldn't see their work the same.
9. One person I recommend all the time is elpatrixf on Deviantart. He draws a lot of NSFW stuff with his characters, but he seems to have spent all his time with character artwork, posing, expressions, and things like that. Its a treat to see what he makes and what his characters get into. Vanyeeah on Deviantart is a really solid digital painter that has been pushing shadows a lot as of late. She is currently attending school, so uploads have gotten a lot slower. The improvement is insane between each upload. Last to recommend is felisrandomis here on FA. Adorable cartoonish stuff and quick character items is a pretty common sight in her gallery. One of those nicer treats to see her do a stream and post about five items the next day haha. I tend to follow a lot of different things...
10a. I actually stay around here partly because of my face-blindness. I said above, but people are a lot more difficult for me to notice, but furries? I can spot one person's character after three rounds through different artists' work. Otherwise I just am here. Maybe when I finally learn how to draw faces properly then I will probably wonder elsewhere for a while. But the creativity and willingness to MAKE is very very cool to see in this fandom. Drawing the characters that people bring to me is always a blast. I am consistently surprised by what people come up with.
1. I think I either found you by someone else stating about you or at random. What made me stick around was all the good stuff.
2. Good question. A lot if not most or all have very bright colors. I've seen you've done some things Pokemon and being a fan of that I like those. Being a guy I obviously like many of the female stuff. Not all; but things retaining canines, felines, and some other males. As long as I can tell specifically what kind they are.
Some of the favorites are:
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/7615990/
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/7894557/
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/15.....#cid:114175015
3. There are some males that I also like just as long as it's not one in the nude. Being only into girls that kind of thing turns me off. They are some exceptions like guys having sex with females but this is usually with just a male and female. Any female I like who's having sex with someone else other than my fursona I don't like.
4. Honestly I think that should go to others since the art you have branches into so many different categories.
5. Again I'm not the one to ask that since I'm still improving. I can see you're much more talented than me.
6. I really have no answer for that.
7. Okay since I've favored things from general to adult, it's quite a branch of stuff. This can be art, stories, or animations/videos. I think what determines it is the type of specie used. This can be any canine, feline, bat, otter, and red panda. All because of how close in DNA my fursona is to them to have kids. They are some exceptions to this depending on weather a girl I date in rl has something that isn't of the first category. Also again the same thing for the male; no nude stuff unless it's a male character I like to follow having sex with another female I like and know they are a couple.
8. Well hopefully they are nice to respond to comments unless the comments are creepy, spam, ect. Then they have a right to ignore that person or ban them from watching them. Me personally I respond to all comments unless there's nothing else to say or it's something that's just spam. Now I can understand if an artist is not the type to respond that's fine. But what I sometimes don't get is why they'll respond to others and not mine. Not a big deal, just sometimes a wonder. Especially since I support and love their work.
9. Some of the best artist I follow on here, while a couple may not have posted anything for awhile, I love the work they do. Very good, some stories they write, but most just smashing art, very colorful, and should be followed. Some only do porn, but others go in all kinds of different themes. I love their work.

10 a. What keeps me going as a furry artist is mainly story purposes that I'm doing, and wanting to draw certain favorite characters with my fursona.
10 b. NA
I love your art style :D it's so colorful and the way your lines are always so clean, I accidentally stumbled upon your page while i was looking for the artist Neko Emaya but she is not here on FA and hasn't been active for a few years, but i am glad i stumbled upon your page :D
2. What type of drawings do you most enjoy / find interesting from me? If you'd like you can link your favorite.
Your paintery drawings are epic, i really like them, but your cell shade is also great as well as any of your glowey drawings
My favorite pieces:

3. Are there any boring works of mine? What makes them uninteresting to you, which ones are they?
None that i can think of
4. Is there anything you'd like to see me draw more of, specific themes, things, type of characters?
More about your storyline, maybe a few comics, for sure artwork relating to your characters and storyline.
5. What kind of stuff do you think I should improve upon? A specific style, maybe some specific things?
I have noticed that in some of your pieces you are almost approaching realistic shading, maybe work on photographic shading and realism might be something to branch out to, Also I feel Animation in your style would be a huge step forward.
6. What's your opinion on nsfw material, yay or nay? How much do these themes impact whenever you're going to watch someone?
doing a few NSFW pieces just for the sake of learning to draw it and saying been there done that would be good, maybe having a few NSFW pieces here and there wouldn't be too bad but what I feel would be good is to draw sexy while leaving plenty up to the imagination, I feel this is a happy medium and is what i plan to do, i will draw girls in a teasing pose or guys in a strong man pose but no genitals shown, etc
7. What is the biggest factor in furry art that makes you enjoy it? What type of work do you generally aim to follow?
Cuteness, I feel that the cuteness that aww it's so adorable factor is what sometimes i need to look at after a stressing day at work.
8. How much does an artist's personality and/or opinions matter to you when it comes to enjoying their work?
It means everything, it shows on your artwork when you are happy when you are sad, when you are frustrated, but i been looking at furry art for years some of the newbies probably just look for porn =-= sad truth but that's why the #1 furry artists on the popularity chart are porn artists.
9. Tell me about the other artists you follow, who are your favorites and what do you most like about their work? (sneaky opportunity to find out new artists to follow xD)
I really love this weirdo artist her name is uh...
I also really like the style of
some other artists i like:
10a. If you're also an artist, specifically in the furry genre, what keeps you motivated and inspired to keep creating furry content?
My love for anthro characters, I really enjoy their style and the variety of how they can be made and the many colors that they can be, I also enjoy the fact that it makes people feel happy to see them.
I hope this helps you out :D
I followed and stick around because your artwork is so beautiful. It's colorful and cute and wonderfully well done. I also stick around because you're an interesting person.
2. What type of drawings do you most enjoy / find interesting from me? If you'd like you can link your favorite.
It's really hard to say but if I had to pick one, I'd say romantic/in-love scenes.
3. Are there any boring works of mine? What makes them uninteresting to you, which ones are they?
I really can't think of anything I'd call boring or uninteresting (and FA is being a bit unreliable tonight so I can't go through your gallery to see if there's anything to mention). Certain subject matters I don't care for in anyone's art and so I just pass it on by when I see it in my list of new things to look at, such as reptile characters, sea creatures, bird characters usually, human characters, BDSM, body piercings, war/violence/weapons, diapers, vore, drugs/alcohol/smoking, and religion. I can't recall which of those things may have shown up in your gallery, but if any do I just pass them by and go on to those things I do like to see.
4. Is there anything you'd like to see me draw more of, specific themes, things, type of characters?
Just the happy and romantic scenes I guess, but really I love all your artwork so it wouldn't feel right to ask for more of any one type of artwork.
5. What kind of stuff do you think I should improve upon? A specific style, maybe some specific things?
I really can't suggest anything because I, as a totally non-artist, can't even begin to suggest improvements for someone who's as accomplished of an artist as you.
6. What's your opinion on nsfw material, yay or nay? How much do these themes impact whenever you're going to watch someone?
I'm fully in favor of NSFW, tasteful nudes, erotic, adult, etc. I can appreciate that type of artwork every bit as much as G-rated artwork because the same creativity and talent goes into making it. Being NSFW in no way detracts from the beauty and quality of artwork when the beauty and quality is put into it. As far as watching someone, I watch because I'm impressed by their artwork, not because of how much their artwork turns me on. Some artists I watch never draw NSFW artwork.
7. What is the biggest factor in furry art that makes you enjoy it? What type of work do you generally aim to follow?
The anthro animal characters themselves. They are given such beauty and cuteness, and can look so sweet and kissable, they can brighten my darkest mood and always make me happy to see them. And the type of artwork I follow is very wide spread, so it's almost easier to list the things I dislike and won't look at.
8. How much does an artist's personality and/or opinions matter to you when it comes to enjoying their work?
If someone is a stuck-up pompous prick or general asshole, I won't watch them or collect/look at their artwork no matter how good it is. If they have a personality that's neutral, or friendly, or totally awesome, I'll definitely be a follower. As far as their personal opinions, that weighs far less in how much I enjoy their work unless those opinions start showing up in the artwork (and they are opinions I object to). Everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
9. Tell me about the other artists you follow, who are your favorites and what do you most like about their work? (sneaky opportunity to find out new artists to follow xD)
I currently have over 165 folders with artwork from various artists I follow, and I'm watching 312 different people on FA. Do you really want a full list?
I could easily list a lot of well known artists, but some of the possibly lesser known ones I follow are Ambberfox, Avisk, Blizshadow, Calicokitea, Cinnamonhunter, Coonkun, Dossun, Emptyset, Flinteatswood, Grrrwolf, Holydust, Kamui, Kbooki, Kyote, Lizeh, Miyabita Cheetah, Morticus, Neonslushie, Neraya, Neuromanson, Orange04, Panhesekielshiroi, Ponygirl, Pranktail, Rarakie, Roary, Runestone, Sankam, Savannah Horrocks, Shalinka, Shiverz, Steshadi, Synnabar, TheKitty, TheColorWeaver, TheSilverOne, Vagabondbastard, Vani-Fox, Yuliandress, Ziblie, and Zurya.
10b. If you're not an artist, what keeps you in this fandom? What do you enjoy the most?
The amazing people, the talent and creativity, the freedom to be myself when I'm comfortable enough to open up, the ability to actually feel more comfortable to open up than in regular life, and my love for cartoon animal characters that permeates the fandom. This fandom brings me a lot of happiness.
2. Drawings with toony/happy furries... I think this one is the best: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/21789817/
3. Huhhh... Maybe this one: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/20859402/
It's not your fault, it's just because dragons aren't my favorite specie :)
4. Why not more foxes? It's a beautiful animal, even more in furry
5. Something you should improve? Excellent question x)
6. I don't mind about that... I mean it doesn't disturb me, but it's not what I like. I may decide to not follow someone if he/she posts only NSFW. But if it's just sometimes, like 1/10, it's okay
7. I don't really know... I think I would like more the art if the furry is happy. If he's sad or mad, I may not like the drawing he's in...
8. Not much... I don't have a lot of discussions with the artists. But I like when they reply to my comments, and I will encourage them more often, because I have a reply, so I know they like my comments...
9. I don't know a lot about the artists I follow. I follow them because I like their gallery content, and... I just realized I actually haven't talked to everyone of them :D
10a. I'm not an artist yet (I mean I actually don't draw regularly because I don't have a lot of material, but I'm waiting for a graphic tablet), but I'll try to answer... I'm motivated by seeing the creations I can do... It's not incredible, but I think it's a good beginning. And I love this fandom, so I want to participate to it...
10b. Because this fandom is magic! The characters are beautiful, the fursuits are awesome, and the people are friendly :)
2. I find your painted works my favorite, like http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18755220/ and http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20360809/
3. Not particularly any come to mind, but a lot of works around this time seemed a bit repetitive at the time.
4. I'd like to see more of your own personal characters, and feral/quadruped characters.
5. I dunno, maybe some more work on facial expressions?
6. I've admittedly been more of a consumer of the NSFW stuff, but I feel they fulfull different purposes. In clean work, I look more for quality, uniqueness and style, where for NSFW it's more about the content.
7. Uniqueness, seeing things that you couldn't see with human characters, and seeing how different people, different artists approach the subject that is anthropomorphic animals, and what aspects they focus on. Personally, I generally look at more animalistic characters, and transformation.
8. Not super important.
9. Here are a couple:
10. From the artist side, although I'm not much of an artist, I've been wanting to do 3D work (modeling/sculpting) for some time, especially because it seems the path less traveled when it comes to furry. From a consumer point of view, it's seeing what everyone else is interested in and what things everyone can create
Oh man, I can't even remember how long ago that was. It was on my previous account, but, you were definitely one of the first ones I followed? I've always remembered you, CandyKittyCat, and a friend of mine from another site were the first three 'active' ones I followed. I just thought your style was awfully cute and on occasion you even had open streams with your friends that I used to drop by back when my computer could handle it.
2. What type of drawings do you most enjoy / find interesting from me? If you'd like you can link your favorite.
I can't pick a specific one but I was fond of your style for being different from any of the other artists I followed. It's just one of those ones that, like, I could see pop up in submissions, and just instantly say 'Oh hey I know who that is'.
3. Are there any boring works of mine? What makes them uninteresting to you, which ones are they?
Not that I can say? I liked how a lot of your things were other people's characters and the like. It's fun to watch artists that spread out their out across so many faces, I don't know how to put it. It's just a lot more interesting than somebody whose entire gallery is just, like... one or two reoccurring characters, y'know?
4. Is there anything you'd like to see me draw more of, specific themes, things, type of characters?
Not that I'm saying it's a 'more' thing, but, I just really like the ones that deal with your friends or things that happened in your day. Or even just the ones about your mascot or 'sona. They make for fun reads!
5. What kind of stuff do you think I should improve upon? A specific style, maybe some specific things?
Hah~! I'm the last person to ask about that! > w<
6. What's your opinion on nsfw material, yay or nay? How much do these themes impact whenever you're going to watch someone?
I mean, I'm no prude, that's for sure. Tasteful nsfw has always been totally fine for me. I guess I do get a little weirded out when I watch somebody, and then their gallery shifts quite suddenly into fetish art? I dunno. I also feel like that's not something for me to really complain about as a watcher. Creators should always have fun with what they put out! \ o /
7. What is the biggest factor in furry art that makes you enjoy it? What type of work do you generally aim to follow?
Variety. There's just so much more variety when you get down to things like species, and coat patterns, and art styles- it's always a neat thing to follow! I tend to follow somebody with a consistent style, and prefer artists that go beyond 'pin-up' art. Not that I don't like single/solo character pictures, but, it's a lot more interesting to see what an artist actually -does- with those characters.
8. How much does an artist's personality and/or opinions matter to you when it comes to enjoying their work?
A lot. In an odd way, I kind of look forward to seeing them the same way you would friends, and that sense of 'community' is what really makes me check on that journal tab more than I do submissions. My best friend is somebody that I met here simply through her making an effort to talk to people through her page. The artists that I know by name are people that talk to their watchers through their journals and streams and blogs. I don't think it's an exaggeration that I love hearing about the person behind the art as much as the art itself.
9. Tell me about the other artists you follow, who are your favorites and what do you most like about their work? (sneaky opportunity to find out new artists to follow xD)
Well, let'seeeeeeee... Of course, there's my friend PapyrSatyr. I love her sketchwork to bits and the fact that she draws a lot of things that have to do with common interests (usually games) is icing on a cake. I think I mentioned CandyKittyCat earlier, she was one of -the- first I ever watched here- always has such a cute style where ever the 'risque' pictures are kind of 'daaaaaaw' inducing. There were a lot of others but the whole password-derp thing a few months back wound up making me start anew, so I can't really recall them. Artists leaving and blanking their profiles has proobably narrowed down that list as well...
10b. If youre not an artist, what keeps you in this fandom? What do you enjoy the most?
Like I said, the community!
2- http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14923547/
3- Hmm not boring, just don't like everything you do
4- well not really, maybe more clean art or anatomically correct
5- the background are too simple. Well unless you charge them but that's up to you only.
6- I don't really remember seeing anything NSFW. But that's up to you to do or not NSFW arts/commissions
7- Nude clean art
8- not sure since I don't talk with them, If I do its about the commission only.
9- Maskedhusky (I like her work because its anatomically correct), Cerberus (Tirrel) because I like his style, Shiro-Kitsune (I like his arts), Akineza (She's a great artist whit talent, I like what she draw), GTHusky (I like his fox Yuki and that they are again anatomically correct), Ruki (I like his/her art also) Yea I'm repeating my self ^^
10b- I like furry arts and I like to show my commission to others.
Your comics made me watch, your art and a connectable personality make me stay.
2. What type of drawings do you most enjoy / find interesting from me? If you'd like you can link your favorite.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20963049/ Many people can make pretty pictures, less can make pretty pictures and tie them in with other arts, like comedy~
3. Are there any boring works of mine? What makes them uninteresting to you, which ones are they?
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21789817/ http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18976672/
You have a few dull works. One of your big strength's is in lighting, and these two don't have that. Even if a picture has a dull subject matter, your lightning helps give it direction and makes it stick out, these don't share that. Your comics don't have lightning either, but they are attractive for different reasons. Ref sheets also don't get attention from me, but that's personal preference and it would be a mistake not to post them.
4. Is there anything you'd like to see me draw more of, specific themes, things, type of characters?
DO WHAT YOU WANT CUZ A PIRATE IS FREE. I'm personally on here to see neat things and hopefully catch glimpses of inspired works of art. Do what makes you inspired!
5. What kind of stuff do you think I should improve upon? A specific style, maybe some specific things?
Backgrounds, thats probably more of a time thing, some of your images with backgrounds show that you can do them.
So, to start, your art is great, and I'm not sure what direction you should go specifically, but it sounds like you're looking for a variation of constructive criticism. I don't think it's currently worth my time to go through your whole gallery and analyze and dig for specific things, so instead I'll heavily criticize one recent piece.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21484686/
As it's a commission piece, you probably limit yourself on time a bit, so some of the clean up bits probably wasn't worth the extra time. Your brush strokes really show in areas with high lightning, like the pants, and it's really bad on the t-shirt's side. Your clothing on this one in general suffers that effect, it makes it feel choppy. The head/face/horns are a good example of hiding brush strokes well, as the brush strokes are hidden naturally, where as on the clothing they stick out enough to cause a dissonance. The left hand and the left armpit area suffer from a bit from this, most people probably won't even realize his arm pit is visible though. It looks like the light on his sleeve is trying to mimic the same lighting effect in the background on the lower left... I think it's a technique to make a neat background easily, but I don't think it applies well to clothing.
When I first saw the big image, the bottom 3/4s were cut off because I had to scroll down, so the first thing I was drawn to was his beautifully articulated head, the upper right light source helping with that initial draw. As I scroll down, my eyes are naturally drawn to the bright coloration in the lower left, and my eyes naturally follow one of two paths, either along the brightly colored arm, or down the torso. Those 2 paths both lead across what I think are the 2 biggest offenders of your brush strokes showing, the sleeve, and the tanktop on the side. After seeing the seamless head, the brush strokes of those 2 spots show up more as your eyes drag along them, amplifying the brush stroke's visibility.
The horns on top of the head almost are seamless, but the highlight/outline of them, especially near the tips, give it a feeling like you drew an outline and then filled it in, like in your references, or comics. The horns on the back are less seamless, but still suffer from the outline issue.
The cross hatching on the top of the skateboard in the black and grey areas are obvious enough to draw attention, which makes the rest of the cross hatching on it visible. It clashes with the other blending technique used, and similarly to the brush strokes, it creates dissonance. The same applies to the front knee pad, especially since the back knee pad has no cross hatching.
Using both the curve and making the back end of the skateboard smaller to create distance makes the skateboard look crooked. IF you look at the picture with the bottom half of the skateboard cut off/not visible, your brain fills in the other half of the skateboard very differently than how it's angled/drawn.
At the bottom of the skateboard where it crosses the tail, theirs some splotchy lighting effects. The bottom of the skateboard looks like it has a paint splatter effect of yellow lighting around it, probably to help accent it a bit more. The splotching effect there is in contrast to the dots and lines of the rest of the yellow lighting effect, which seems out of place. Especially where it overlaps onto the tail. The splotchy effect is great near your darkness areas, but it doesn't look good on the lighting here as it's not consistent with the rest of the lighting.
As stated at the start of this question, your art is good. Don't let me get you down, I'm not trying to attack you, I'm hopefully showing you useful ways you can improve.
6. What's your opinion on nsfw material, yay or nay? How much do these themes impact whenever you're going to watch someone?
Yay on NSFW. Parts of my country are afraid of sexuality, which can cause demonetization of healthy human activities like periods and sex, which lead to being embarrassed about discussing aspects of them, especially when they go wrong, which causes problems. Openness and normalization of sexuality helps combat these things. Also I like pron.
7. What is the biggest factor in furry art that makes you enjoy it? What type of work do you generally aim to follow?
Why do I like ketchup over BBQ sauce? Because it tastes better. That would be the biggest reason I like furry art over other arts stuff.
Very rarely do you see ugly animals. Most furry art utilizes this, stealing the good looks and people's good will towards animals and applies it a human form. The average furry character is probably a 7/10 instead of a human's 5/10. Furries also don't have to follow reality, so they are easier to characterize and make interesting, especially with the different animal types adding in a lot of variety. I follow artists that catch my eye.
8. How much does an artist's personality and/or opinions matter to you when it comes to enjoying their work?
Subconscious beliefs will make this a non-zero factor no matter what, but I try to not let it do much consciously. Unless if that person has done something deplorable, something I can't support, then they get un-followed, but I don't think that has actually happened.
9. Tell me about the other artists you follow, who are your favorites and what do you most like about their work? (sneaky opportunity to find out new artists to follow xD)
You can always find an artist you enjoy and see who they are following! Click a few random people they are and it generally leads to good stuff.
10a. If you're also an artist, specifically in the furry genre, what keeps you motivated and inspired to keep creating furry content?
It was to express myself and contribute to the fandom that helped me explore myself, but I didn't have the patience to truly learn the trade.
10b. If youre not an artist, what keeps you in this fandom? What do you enjoy the most?
I can express myself here without societal backlash. Sure, someone might whisper behind my back or whatever, but I'm not gonna get fired for liking/being something very different here on the internet. No one in the furry community will disown me if I come out as bisexual~
1. What was the reason you followed me for? What made you stick around?
You drew different. Movement based. Color based. Not for mere erotical purposes. That's what I came for.
I stayed for your friendly responses, advice and insight. You don't just try pleasing customers alone. I like what you write and tell. Knowing a spark of the artist makes their art more enjoyable and individual.
2. What type of drawings do you most enjoy / find interesting from me? If you'd like you can link your favorite.
The ones with much movement and motion. They're full of life and interesting poses. And the onces with the touch of story. Where you ask: What's next after the picture.
http://www.furaffinity.net/full/21427196/ <--- interesting scenery and lighting
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21484686/ <--- great motion
3. Are there any boring works of mine? What makes them uninteresting to you, which ones are they?
Well, character sheets are always static, so they don't really count. You improved over the time, so I think it's not fair to treat your older art as more boring. You told me once: Motion brings the spark to your drawings. Something the eye wants to stay for. So the more static, doll like pictures are less interesting.
Else I think portraits have a difficult stand to make the overall picture interesting, because there is so much lacking. But sometimes you need them. A full body painting as avatar is pretty wasted ;D
4. Is there anything you'd like to see me draw more of, specific themes, things, type of characters?
Yes, I want you to draw what inspires you. What you like, what you feel. That creates best art in my opinion.
5. What kind of stuff do you think I should improve upon? A specific style, maybe some specific things?
No, because pressure is bad. Improve on the things you think you're lacking. If you want a detailed opinion for anything, feel free to ask me :)
6. What's your opinion on nsfw material, yay or nay? How much do these themes impact whenever you're going to watch someone?
Oh, I like pinups. I draw them myself. Sexual things can be very artistic and pleasing. Just look at the old masters of art. They all drew some kinky things, because that's part of our fantasies and wishes. Buuut some things go too far. Especially a lot of fetishes make me shiver. I try avoiding them. But I won't avoid an artist I follow, because he drew a fetish as a commission I totally reject.
Da Vinci made wonderful artistic pieces, but also invented war machinery for the french king. He still was an amazing master of art and science.
So nsfw yay, but not in general. It has no impact on whom I follow. I need to like the picture and style itself, not a special fuckfest scenery. You draw clean art all the time and I follow you, yes? ;)
7. What is the biggest factor in furry art that makes you enjoy it? What type of work do you generally aim to follow?
The fantasy and imagination part. Some stories we produce in our mind to share with others. And the aesthetic part. Exotic animal and human beauty combined. So I follow pictures, that tell stories and art, that is pleasing in an aesthetic way, wether it be erotic, cute or otherwise interesting.
8. How much does an artist's personality and/or opinions matter to you when it comes to enjoying their work?
As mentioned above: Knowing a part of the artist makes me enjoy their art way more. Because I somewhat understand the style and composition a bit more. Because it gives the art a personal touch. Well, aand I'm talkative, so I like sharing some thoughts :3
9. Tell me about the other artists you follow, who are your favorites and what do you most like about their work? (sneaky opportunity to find out new artists to follow xD)
Nope, this is about you. Don't look at other artists work to compare yours. At a point an artist has its own personal style, that is not comparable.
10a. If you're also an artist, specifically in the furry genre, what keeps you motivated and inspired to keep creating furry content?
I grew up with Disneys Robin Hood. I was at an age I never thought about watching and drawing porn and stuff. I liked the fantastic stories and mixup of humans with animals to give them characteristics. I like foxes since I'm able to see. Combining their natural beauty and grace with humans (yes, humans are also beautiful...at least some :P) was just cool. I never used the word furry a long long time. How to explain something even our ancestors already did thousands of years ago? Some were always fascinated of animal characteristics.
My fantasy and imagination keeps me motivated. To tell stories with pictures and share them. Show characters out of my mind. Bring them to live. Aaaaand sometimes show them in kinky poses :P If someone has a smile on their face by looking at my picutres or enjoying them is great.
Here's some answers for ya:
1. What was the reason you followed me for? What made you stick around?
I forget how I found you, but loved the art style and STILL love the art style.
2. What type of drawings do you most enjoy / find interesting from me? If you'd like you can link your favorite.
Do so love flashy-glowing stuffs, but that's me being a techo-nerd.
3. Are there any boring works of mine? What makes them uninteresting to you, which ones are they?
Limited time, so if something doesn't catch my interest, I just skip it. Probably sound incredibly boring, but if I don't like it, I just don't open it. Someone posts predominantly stuff i DON'T like and I'll just unwatch.
4. Is there anything you'd like to see me draw more of, specific themes, things, type of characters?
Maybe expand your repetoire of furry species a bit? Shark characters ARE unusual, but they aren't the only ones. Also, try drawing varying body shapes and sizes, different character sizes and perspectives?
Make those personal projects since the results usually aren;t the best for weird angles or first time trying to figure out anatomy of weird critters. :-P
5. What kind of stuff do you think I should improve upon? A specific style, maybe some specific things?
P'sh... yeah, like I should talk.
6. What's your opinion on nsfw material, yay or nay? How much do these themes impact whenever you're going to watch someone?
EXTREMELY ... meh.... either way, long as is done well. If I had to choose for you to do ONLY one or the other, I'd say SFW, but that's my opinion.
7. What is the biggest factor in furry art that makes you enjoy it? What type of work do you generally aim to follow?
Well drawn characters that show off a lot of personality are ALWAYS Awesome! Action and Experession are ALWAYS Fav's of mine!
8. How much does an artist's personality and/or opinions matter to you when it comes to enjoying their work?
Artist's personality? Not much. Too many AMAZING artists are horrible PEOPLE, so I just stopped asking/caring unless something REALLY Shines thru in their art as a regular thing.
Excessive journaling squicks a bit; that aside, I'm in it for the art.
9. Tell me about the other artists you follow...
With EXTREMELY Limited time, my watch-list is EXTREMELY Selective, virtually exclusive to friends, specialists and incredible talent. You mostly fall into the "incredible talent" category.
There's others, but they're pretty interest-specific.
10a. If you're also an artist, specifically in the furry genre, what keeps you motivated and inspired to keep creating furry content?
Deadlines. I draw a ton of Neopets kark because of the weekly contest there, and zero expectations. madly scribbling something out five minutes before the deadline expires seems to be my MO.
SERIOUSLY Need to draw more purely furry stuff.
Hope that helps. Got any more questions?
Good things comes to those who.... ASK!
