I just got the game today as a christmas gift from my bro, and while on Route 1 I had the most hilarious bit of serendipity within just the first hour or so. Old readers of mine will especially love this.

So I walk through tall grass, when a Pichu appears. I catch this little electric mouse. After I nickname it, I check details and what I read was just too perfect to be coincidence.

I now have a Pichu, which will eventually become a Pikachu and than a Raichu, whose nature is Lax and who is characterized as being "a little quick tempered." And this pichu is in fact a female.

And yes, I did in fact name her Rika.

I'm having a massive laugh right now. *doubles over*
