"Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life." - Terry Pratchett
The only thing worse than being super-busy and having depressing things happen is being SICK while it's all going on. BLEH. There should be a law against sickness that makes you feel like crap for days, but never amounts to anything. Someone contact mother nature, I have a complaint. D8<
Also, if you'd be so kind as to contribute your two cents to a tattoo idea I think I might get in the semi-near future (read: in two/three years), I'd be grateful. 8D It's over here: http://torikonero.livejournal.com/

BASTAAARRRDDDDDDDDDDSSSSSS!
...I tried D8
And I think I may have already told you my opinion on the tattoo, but if not, I'll say it again! I think it's a very unique idea, and that fact that you will probably continue to like it aesthetically for years and years down the road if it is done properly is a total bonus. The only problem I can see is if the surface piercings get infected, because that could ruin your tattoo and I don't know if they can do touch ups over top of piercings.
Other then that, I say go for it :) I'd help you shop for an artist, but I have no idea about who's good or even what shops are in your area, so you're going to have to find someone local for that xD
I'm going to find the perfect artist, don't you worry about that. And ooh, I didn't even think about infection! D8 My piercings usually get infected during the healing process because my skin is SUPER sensitive. Maybe I won't do that. D8
Is there anyway you can get the piercings done first and get the tattoo around it? Though again, you'd have to ask the tattoist if they will in the first place. I can't imagine their needle striking the metal piercings is good for the equipment or for the stability of their work. Don't want the tattoo to be messy D8
Ehhh, you are the second person who told me it'd be a bad idea to do the piercings. I WANT to, but...I dunno. Maybe I won't, it wouldn't be THAT big a deal. I'll just make up for it with lots of piercings in other places. 8D
I think the piercing idea itself is fucking fantastic, but I'm just worried about the health risks and the final outcome of the tattoo's appearance itself. BUT YAY! Lots o' piercings! x3
