Oooh! What's new today? Go on then. End of the year, I'm feeling a bit at a loss - let's hear some questions :D
Why not a question to you guys to start off - what was this year's New Year's resolution for you, and have you accomplished it? What about next year? :3
(Personally, this year's resolution was to be happier in general! I think I've accomplished that, even if I still get anxious and worried over a bunch of stuff. Maybe I can work on that! Otherwise, for next year, my resolutions are to get a PhD position [or failing that, a job], make my art 'flow' better, and to spend more time with others!)

Dark Violet is a strange one, and though that goes without saying, it's for another reason. When I first thought her up, I imagined her as an embodiment for my sexual side; all those salacious, lustful thoughts.
Over time though, she's changed, becoming something of her own that delights in hedonism and expression. I see how now as some kind of embodiment of my creativity. While she isn't wholly sexual anymore, that's still a huge part of her - just accompanied by delight in many situations, and also occasionally playing the part of a reckless doggo now, too :D
How she differs compared to me as a person... well, aside from the cliché "More outgoing", she can sometimes not care about other's point of view. She's self-satisfied and rather smug, and she likes things done her way - if they aren't, then she tends to go and make it so. This can be anything from taking charge of someone's mind to show them what a good time they could be having, or righting wrongs in her own... questionable way.
What about you then, Nym? :3 I have to say, I've seen a bunch of the art, but don't know much about your character's personality. Feel free to enlighten me~
I draw every day, unless I have other things on, like friends over or family obligations - it's my main hobby. Since I watch stuff at the same time, I watch in intervals of episodes, so anything from 45 minutes to upwards of three hours...!
As for improvement, well first, thank you! I think it's because I'm always batting above my league with a lot of images. Stuff like (1), (2) and (3) all involved things I wasn't experienced at drawing at the time - be it space and spacecraft detail, uncommon poses, or scenic vistas. I didn't know how to do it, but I went ahead anyway. As I look back, I can see the flaws - hell, I could see a few of them then, but I learnt not to let it bother me, because it was all a learning experience, and by drawing them out I got to learn a few of the tricks by doing. And eventually, I knew, that one day, I'd be better - (1), (2), (3)...
Practice makes perfect, but pushing yourself gives you far more experience than doing the same old thing every day. And I know I'm not there yet - I'll answer this same question in five years time and look back on the art of today and see all the flaws - but in the meantime, I'm content with the journey, because that's what it's all about :3

As an artist, do you get aroused while drawing NSFW commissions?
I've heard a few artists do, and some even have to stop drawing for a moment to... Well, 'relief' some stress. xD
I have to say though that I'm aroused not as much by images, but by the stories they tell and the ideas behind them - at least, a lot more than I used to be. I can draw a cock and not be aroused at all, but sometimes when I lean back to look at the picture as a whole and see how it's going... well, if it's fun enough, I have been known to indulge in stress relief before :3
I don't think I'd resist too. Your level of details is just amazing!

Here are three that particularly came to mind! I'll name three stories by different writers!
Rain-Reigned October is one of my favourite (mostly) stand-alone stories from October. I ship these two so much! Plus, fun personalities and Café Policy combine to make a very fun tale~
Beauty and the Beast is a story I loved for its atmosphere. It was one that really gave me a sense of calm and peace, really drawing me into the story. BRN is a good writer for that :D
Record Zero is another lovely tale in the Plaisir universe, following the Glaceon contest star Acre as he spends time at Plaisir, written by my friend Yuri. Some lovely description and ideas, combined with some damn fun sex, combine to give a very fun story indeed :3
Funny you should mention resolutions, normally I don't (ugh how this year turned out, don't even) but today, I have an unformed idea, sort of a so things didn't work out with some people time to move on / you know what I think all my ideas matter and I should write/draw them feeling.
Still though, if you wanna talk, don't worry about me being Do Not Disturb - just shoot me a message, and I'll get back to you when I see it :3 I'd love to hear some of your ideas~
Hmmm. There are multiple things, but I guess one of the main one is the lack of employment in any way. This is my first year not being in education, and as much as I'm enjoying doing art for others and dedicating my time like that, it's not keeping me afloat and I feel like I'm stagnating in my life. If, in the next year, I get that PhD position I'm hoping for then that'll be a great weight off my mind (just to be replaced by the responsibilities that come along with it, but there ya go). Else, it'll be onto the job market for me, see what I can find :3
Now, my question for you.

Well, I mentioned not having a job right now. I guess that's the biggest one - I don't like to feel that I'm wasting my life, y'know? I want to be the best I can be, and with this year there's definitely a fear of stagnation. Also, other stuff are like how others see me - I think I can be too self-centred sometimes, and often can get a bit grumpy, so I need to still try and work around that to bring a positive attitude to others and think of them first even more :3 That's gonna be something I think I'll strive for in this next year!
2016 was my year of furry stuff and I've pushed myself to by commissions, write stories and draw a little.
2017 is my year of gaming and I think that means I will be going through my backlog of steam games and playing World of Warcraft. I might finally get round to recording myself play some things. Last time I had a gaming year it was to do with board gaming.
The other interest I have is anime.
My question for you (and take it how you will) is: What would you have me do?
What would I have you do? Well...
I know you're expecting some kinda sexual answer, but I'm not gonna say that. I think that we all need to remember that our lives depend on the lives, choices and feelings of others, so I think you should try to help out other in this next year, maybe a bit more than usual. Search out charity drives, donate money you would buy a game with to a good cause (or just buy a few more Humble Bundles), and just generally see what extra you can do for others :3
Be the best person that you know you can be!
Helping others is something that I strive for even if I do fall short by keeping it close to home. That said, I do like a good humble bundle and generally pay over the odds so that charity water have a nice donation.
Will have to look at making a donation during AGDQ and maybe doing some sort of charity live stream though. Certainly something to think about.
