Who knows how many layers of irony each comment lies under? It's a judgement call, but "SMH my head" means there's at least one.)
One of the inherent problems with communicating via text is how easy it is to miss nuance or irony. I wonder if everyone who says that is being humorous or ironic?
Just being here to witness that massive evolution of subtext feels like entire new languages for in-groups and out-groups metastasizing in realtime.
There's so much hidden information in plain sight! :3
I'll always prefer one on one face to face interaction, but our ability to connect over various types of distance via text definitely has a value.
