PvA idea journal (Quick Yah or Neh question.)
So I started playing Final Fantasy VII and noticed something to consider for PvA. It is regarding the party system and how it only shows the main character running around. The other fallowing members are out of sight until ether battle or cutscene.
Would it be better to do this with PvA's fallowing characters? Like when Lily was going back to her home town and Nickelie was fallowing her. Does he need to be visually fallowing her in that way? Was it annoying or pleasing to see him fallowing? If the character has nothing to add to the gameplay, should it be seen until it is needed?
Yay or Neh?

But generally I think its pleasing to see partymembers following. ^-^
One idea I would like to put forward though would to have a system like that of Legend of Zelda FourSwords, in which you can have multiple characters, but be able to switch between them in, and being able to just press a button in order to call them all together. This could open up some interesting opportunities for more complex puzzles, or even just save the player time, by having one character sick back to press the button while another presses a different button, rather than having to walk back and forth like Lilly has to at a few points during the demo.
And for the swapping part, this could be helpful for parts where, for example, say there is a tree blocking the way, as is per f****** usual in a pokemon game (which could make a funny secret dialogue), and you currently only have Lilly, and because of that cannot get past, but later the player gains access to Mark, whom is able to cut down the tree. Or for a different example, you need to reach a button to continue in the level, but you cant swim, so you choose to switch to Tommy in order to have him swim across and push the button. Granted these sorts of actions could just be done with a cut scene, but I feel this could add a puzzle system similar to the ones that are present in he pokemon franchise, but a bit more advanced, due to the fact that the player would have to switch between players to do multiple tasks to get the final result, which now that I think about it would be a bit more reminiscent to the puzzles present in the Lego games (lego harry potter, star wars, ect...)
