Hey there.
So here is the thing. I have done a lot of thinking and contemplating.
Basically for the past month or so I have been thinking of how I identify myself in the furry community.
Who am I, what is it Im trying to portray as an artist. And while I have a lot of fun drawing NSFW art, I don't feel like its something I want to define me as an artist.
A lil bit about my personal life, I do attend art school. Im working hard to set myself up as a professional in the artist world. Word has gotten around that i have been doing NSFW and while I shouldn't care, I do.
Im frightened that such work can link back to me in a job opportunity. I would hate for it to ruin any chance I have with an illustration company. Plus, Im building a portfolio to bring to such companies, and I would love to have personal SFW pieces and designs to put into it. If I spend all my time doing porn outside of school I wont have any personal work to show.
I also do not wish to be under the name LuckyNeko, I feel like it portrays an anime aspect that my art does not hold.
I also want to go beyond just furry art. I want to do fan art for video games, movies and shows. I want to design characters and think it would be fun to create adopts.
Now do not worry, Im not leaving the furry community completely. I really do love all the friends and connections I have made here. I love how loving and open this community is and I couldn't ask for a better group of people to make art for. But I want people to love my art for what it is, not just for the sexy aspect of it. Therefore, Im moving accounts. I will be under the name javabyte on both FA and Deviantart.
Nothing is uploaded on there yet. But i hopefully will have stuff up there soon.
Tonight I will be uploading three pieces, that will be my last under the name Lucky Neko.
I will scrap everything tomorrow and keep this account up for 3 months before closing it.
I thank everyone who has followed me on here and hope you continue to follow me through out my new journey as an artist.

Better to think ahead, but it sure does suck that you're going to stop doing NSFW stuff... I really like that stuff!... well, all of your stuff is awesome, I'm just saying that seeing the NSFW disappearing from your work will be a slight downside, but it won't deviate from the quality and pleasing aesthetic that all of your pieces bring
Best of luck to you! Keep at it, keep improving and keep your head up always.
