Keep commissions separate from patreon, but maybe offer them to your supporters there at a reduced rate, perhaps? If such a thing would work out for you. Like, give non patrons the full price and patrons 20% off or something.

That sounds pretty decent! I just know that there are those who refund after they get the art while Patreon takes it from them immediately, but Patreon also takes something like a 10% cut AND taxes cause I'm not US. It's definitely a case of "do I want to risk it or do I want less money?"

20% off does sound fair and is a good idea that I will keep in mind! I have several days to go before I make the final decision and so far that one's reasonable.

I second fireandfeathers suggestion, having patreons get 20% off (or maybe more, depending on the tier) sounds good. That allows people who don't want to use Patreon to get a commission from you.
You could also go the same route other artists went, to have patreons who give more money get a free sketch/commission/etc once a month.

Yeah that's what I have in the sideline, I wonder if I should bundle the 20% off thing in a $20 tier and a free sketch a month...but then again that's an extra $5 from the last tier. xD I know the feeling. I would suggest coming up with a price for the commissions first, that way you can have some sort of reference. Although that sounds like youre already past that point.
And then there are the other factors, like how many commissions you wanna take at once, how long you take for them etc pp.

You're at this time the only artist I'd ever consider supporting the patreon of. And you'll probably find it creepy or something, or maybe not considering the content in your gallery heh, but I'm a pretty obsessive guy and Dargon really appeals to me in all the worst(?) ways. I've been obsessed with him since the very day you uploaded a drawing of him.
There used to be two other guys I would've given money to, both of which also own characters I'm obsessed with, but they both publicly shared their disgusting liberal political opinions and I hate them now. I like that you don't share anything real personal... Plus, their pages were filled with really shitty copyrighted characters. That's something I really like about you as well, not a single goddamn Pokemon in your gallery. I love it! I love it when galleries have nice original content, original characters instead of more and more uninspired licensed garbage we've already seen 5 terabytes of.

I never have an opinion on anything political so you don't have to worry about that happening with me lol It's all too negative for me, lemme stick to my cartoons and drawings haha The only time I'd ever draw copyrighted cartoons is if I wanted to A. fulfil a commissioner's request and B. destroy childhoods x) It's really not inspiring for me, kind of feels like I'm just taking a base and drawing on that instead.

Would you be open to having Dargon posed with other characters that aren't yours?
And would you also be open to private commissions no one can see but you and the buyer?
If so, I might be able to buy something eventually if I somehow came across some money. I'd like to have Dargon and another character I'm obsessed with playing together, though I'd only be interested in SFW. I'll contact you in the future about it if all that sounds agreeable to you.
Why I'd want it to be private is because I'm pretty protective over said character, and he unfortunately has others that are obsessed with him and don't treat him right I'm not fond of and I wouldn't want to feed them.

Oh yes of course! I can do a commission like that with Dargon or my other characters too. I'm also very open to SFW as well as well as private commissions, just comes with a little extra ranging from $5 to $15 for a private one. I have commission prices posted in the tab but I haven't opened the commissions yet lol
