I highly doubt anybody who actually does this crap will see this, but I figured it was worth mentioning since I see it happen to a particular person I care about a lot. I also don't care about adversity directed at me personally because I don't draw on here and it's just FA, so whatever.

Don't say someone's art looks like someone else's style I know some people do this deliberately just to trigger people, and it's irritating. I'm not going to mention any names, but it's dumb when it happens to anybody. People want actual critical feedback on their art, not "it reminds me of someone else's" because that doesn't tell them anything useful and removes their identity as an artist.

I know not everybody says something like that with the intent to make the said artist feel bad but it is something you shouldn't do and should be conscious of doing. And if you are one of those people who do this deliberately, just to trigger people, you disgust me and should feel ashamed of yourself. If you know someone who does something like this just to annoy people, tell them to stop doing it. It's rude and unhelpful.

Feel free to link this journal if you feel it would be helpful to do so. I'll gladly challenge anybody's comment that indicates saying someone's art looks like or reminds them of someone else without any other actual artistic feedback helps one improve their art in any way whatsoever.
