On the subject of Videogame Soundtracks

Now I don't mean iconic I mean ones that are more than just catchy and have a beat, I mean ones you would actively seek out to put upon a disc and listen to. Not remixes, just the game music in its purest of quality.
Now I am by no means an authority I'm just picking out game soundtracks that I feel stand out extraordinarily well. Yes, I'm that bored.
So let's start out strong with a personal favorite- Total Annihilation. It's a shame Supreme Commander's music is so forgettable.

Baldur's Gate 2 is up and while I know many will ask "What about Torment?" I'd say while Torment is easily superior to BG2, its music though was much more low key save for the iconic main theme. So here are some personal Baldur's Gate 2 favorites, long live the God of Murder!:

Now the next is honestly quite difficult to pick only 3 or 4 out of the whole bunch so he's the one I best think represents all of Arcanum's music. The string work in the whole thing is almost unimaginably good.

Guild Wars has an excellent soundtrack but that's to be expected when apparently ever member of the design team is some kind of mega artist. No wonder they have such balance issues with their girly artsy hands.

Next, my personal favorite game! Shadow Madness. ALL of the music in this game, absolutely all of it, was made by one guy, Brad Spear. He apparently made 170 songs, all just for this one game. By himself.
