Life Update: Some Big Changes

Dancing Through Life...
Hey everyone! I hope everyone is doing well, and if you get winter where you are, I hope you're staying warm and surviving the snow. Boston has gotten quite a bit recently but that's to be expected in February!
I'm writing this journal though cause my life has changed a bit recently.
After ANE 2017 which was just a few weekends ago, I stepped down from my leadership role in the Board of Directors.
As many of you know Logn and I made the pact to actually start up this con in my kitchen in Dec 2013 and pulled Kota Husky on right away. 2014 was a ton of work prepping for ANE 2015, the first iteration, but god was it fun and worth it. ANE 2015, 2016 and now 2017 were massive successes and ANE 2017 saw 1384 attendees and in the last three years we have raised $38,600 for our charity, MA Vest A Dog!
But Anthro New England brought me a lot of stress these past few years, from all the work on top of having a 40 hour a week office job, my social life, my family stuff and running local meetups. That stress paired with my declining physical health due to constant back and neck pain put me in a really cruddy place the past few months. I don't feel like I was myself in 2016. Something was just off and I feel the stress in my life was a root cause of that odd feeling. To any of you that may have picked up on it, or felt I had changed or our friendship got weird, I'm so sorry! It took a lot for me to acknowledge there was an issue and I had to do something about it. My doctor and chiropractor both hounded me to make some life changes before these back and neck problems got too serious.
And so, although incredibly painful for me, I stepped down with Anthro New England. I've cried a lot since the start of 2017, knowing I'd have to do it then doing it, but it's for the best. I can already feel myself becoming me again. And I'll still be involved with ANE as staff so that's a good thing!
I've also been working to lessen other stressors in my life, but don't worry, you'll still see me out at lots of local hangouts and meets, my social life is super important to me, cause I love seeing all you guys. It is hard to balance seeing all my local friends but I'm doing my best and never be afraid to poke me on Twitter or Telegram or something :)
The good news is that the love of my life, Strobes, and my closest friends (you know who you are) were my rocks during this time and they helped me so much, and I'm so very thankful for them. I truly am blessed to have the people in my life that I do.
So as we look forward, I'm going to work on further improving my mental and physical health this year and get myself back to the good ole' Mollie while also experiencing new and wonderful things!
I'll still be on staff at ANE as well as joining staff at MFF! Fuse and I will still be helming the furbowls and many local MA furmeets and charity events. And Strobes and I will be attending Furxoticon, BLFC, AC, Furpoc and MFF this year!
For those that actually read all this, thanks, it means a lot. And to all my furry family, thank you for being in my life. I really don't know what I'd be doing if it wasn't for the fandom. I love you all!
