People will ask how this could happen, and do nothing.

Remember this day, be sure your story gets told, put a heavy emphasis on how big oil dared throw freedom loving Americans off their home. As long as your voice is heard, a difference can be made.

Here we are in 2017 and nothing has changed. They continue to violate our rights with impunity. The same as they always have since setting foot on this continent.

You are correct, I should not say nothing has changed because nearly everything has....except for the mindset of the wašíču....and by wašíču, I don't necessarily mean white person but greedy person. One thing certainly different this time was there were thousands of witnesses to this atrocity. This is not over but only the beginning.

I'm not going to stop supporting the movement and plight of the Natives even if greed has pushed this through. I won't stop trying to help!

There's one other option to make these petrol parasites cringe, and believe me I consider, it an answer to such oppression: rebellion by force! If you don't retaliate, you can't win. I can't stand idly by while corporate greed rapes sacred lands and dissolves tribal cultures! My mother is supposedly 1/16 Cherokee, although that statement is inconclusive, no records from the census can confirm or deny that fact. That's the crux of our nation's system, they have no respect for the past.

When will our government learn from history? Have they forgotten that it was Native Americans whose Iroquois Constitution laid the groundwork for our nation, today? Have they forgotten that it was Native Americans that helped our first settlers establish a foothold in the US, only to turn on them once Manifest Destiny kicked in? It's ironic to see how far we've fallen to such modernization, bringing down defenseless tribal cultures to pave the way for the "corrupt" American! As a potential Cherokee, I am hoping that a reckoning will come soon for these corporate demons! One day, I'll spearhead a series of radical machinations that will ultimately conclude with our lands reclaimed and restored. Even if we must sow our own seeds of doubt into minds of every American, blinded by delusion and rendered helpless by ignorant pleasure and destructive prejudice!
