That aside, I'm glad you at least admit it. Just don't forget; just because someone is 'in' the fandom doesn't mean they're open and accepting with everything. That's all.

By all means, don't hide the frustration. Everyone has the outbursts and some people just can't handle an actual human reaction, it seems. Can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

To each their own. It's 2017. It's gonna be popping up more and more in normal society. But like anything else, people shouldn't shove it down others throats. I have two friends that have been open/poly for a long time and only recently have they been open to their friends besides me because they didn't feel the need to tell everyone. They just recently started to date a third and felt a need to tell people about it. This has made me realize one thing about the idea of a poly relationship. Even if I don't get along to well with their "third" I am gonna to have learn to accept her if I want to remain their friend. Because in the end her being there is about them and not me. Which I understand and have supported their decision up to this point and will continue to regardless of my relationship with her is. I have also accepted that they might not want to talk to me as much if my relationship with her goes south. Though this has made me feel alone due to all three having the same political views and discussing them in front of me when my political views might be a single shade different then them. In the end that part of their lives doesn't involve me *shrugs*

You are you and stood up for being who you truly are. More people need to have that courage and strength of will, myself included. While I am not a poly, I do applaud your bravery and wish you happiness in your life.

My favorite thing about polygamous relationships is that they remind me of hive minded life a little more than one to one pair relationships do, and I like hive minded life. Like someone said above me, if I'm friends with someone who loves someone that much then I feel like I should get to know and try to befriend their lover too, so I can understand them more, and if there are more lovers then I suppose I'll also feel like I should try to befriend them. When it's just "my friend and his girlfriend" then it feels more like it's simply that, my friend and that other important connection of his, but if there are lots of girl and boyfriends then I may start to think of all of them together, the partners become a band, and if they're close and compatible enough with each and every other then... it really brings to my mind a composite mind being.
In case I didn't show it I think that's exciting and cool.

Oops, I'll memorize how to spell that now then. And I see, many prior traits of the individuals may have to be silenced for the sake of the composite, but the new whole will still be much wider in scope than any part before it. I respect feeling comfortable with compromise for something you are a part of. I think it's always a good thing to an extent, the specific allowable ratios depending on the overall scope of the whole, if you're compromising for a companion, a society, a species or a world. Then again, determining those effects is morality, so whether success or failure I couldn't say what's best.
