It would be so grand to hear Catswhiskers had all the scripts. I wonder how far ahead he was? Maybe if he's far ahead we could get people to help finish his legacy.
He was one of the first furries I ever interacted with, and we were mutual fans of each others' work. I always enjoyed when I would see comments on my works, and I was a big fan of the Gene Catlow comic as well as 3C1M! Not to mention the new series Mandy in Ballpointe.
He's a class act all around and this is just devastating news. I just...my thoughts are with all his family and loved ones.
What horrible news. Nothing makes one feel greyer in the muzzle more then hearing that good people you've been following all these years have passed away, and Gene was one of the best. I'm so very sorry that he is gone.
His comic was one of the first few i ever found along with Sabrina Online, Doemain, Vinci and Arty, Kit and Kay Boodle etc etc etc. I just loved the warm passionate chemistry between Gene and Catswhisker.....so much love....
I never spoke to him, but his cartoons were such an irreplaceable part of my internet childhood, and he seemed so kind and warmhearted that he always seemed like a friend even though I was just a kid silently browsing furry comics.
It's so hard to believe. I knew him by reputation and I'm happy to say it was a very positive and kindly reputation. God rest him and bless his family.
It's bad enough to lose Al, but to lose Gene three days a week is going to be a sad reminder of who we will miss.

I'm so, so sorry for your loss.
