Cat Update

Hey guys, updating as promised.
We finally got an appointment for Moo and got him in to see the vet.
As expected he has a nasty case of ear mites still. However there is no infection so that's good news.
They gave me a flea and ear mite medication and said 1 treatment should get rid of the mites but if for some reason it doesn't to call them and I can get more.
He's also taking fish oil with his wet food every day now because his skin is really flaky. They said that is apparently common with young shelter cats and that the fish oil will help.
As far as his dizziness goes they did a neurological test on him and they said his reactions are all normal.
They asked me things like "Does he tilt his head when he walks? Does he run into stationary object? Does he fall over while walking?" All of which the answers are "No" thankfully.
They said that is good news as any of those things could mean much greater problems.
They said as of right now the amount of gunk built up in his ears from the mites may be the cause of his wobbling and that once we get them cleared up we'll see where he's at.
They said if I notice any of the above symptoms that they asked me about or his eyes flicking rapidly that I need to get him to the emergency vet right away for X-Rays and CT Scans.
For now they've told me to keep an eye on it and if I can get video of him losing his balance when sitting that I should do so and send it to them and they'll take a look. We would have checked that out more at the vet, but Moo hates the vet and goes statue mode as long as he's there.
So for right now we're just doing what we can and waiting to see the results. If things don't get any better we'll look into getting the scans and stuff done, but for right now the vet doesn't see any huge reason to do the scans and put Moo through more stress than he's already been through.
I'll continue to keep you guys updated on how Moo is doing over the next month or so.
As of right now he seems pretty content. He's really digging the fish oil in his wet food (of course) and I've gotten him up and playing the past 2 days surprisingly enough, hopefully he'll continue to be more active.
Also, a little question for the people with kitties. I've been thinking over the past few days about if whether anything in Moo's environment changed around the time he got sick. Besides the fact that I had stopped giving him wet food (which I've already fixed and he's back on it again) I had also changed his cat litter.
Having just 1 cat I like to use the clumping litter since it's easy for me to keep it clean and I don't have to change it out as often.
Anywho, my question is, what brand of litter do you use?
I'm currently using scented litter (my dad picked up the wrong one) and I'm not sure if that would cause a cat to get sick or not.
Anywho, thank you to everyone who's helped Moo, I honestly can't express how grateful I am.
Hopefully this will have him fixed up for good this time!

P.S. Here's a bonus shot of Moo being a big freaking baby at the Vet. He likes to ball up like a little rock and hide his face in my hand, only moving to hiss at anyone who isn't me that touches him.
