Edited with update: - So MidwestFurfest is a go this year! as i missed out getting a room. the entire 1500 + rooms booked up in less than 45 seconds, but fortunately i got offered a room spot for me & Clumzy lion with two close local friends ( and all SSC fursuiters) for MFF. Lets hope everyone else we know can manage to do the same. :)

Also i really enjoyed MCFC last weekend! a report will come soon for that con too!

I have to find atleast two room spots though, as i will be likely driving with a local friend of mind if i go.

I suspect, though can't prove, that staff are booking more rooms than they need, and giving them to their friends.

Isn't there a hotel close with rooms available? If you have a car then finding another hotel close shouldn't be a problem right? But I have like only 1 con experience so if I'm dead wrong I apologize

You're quite correct, and several of those hotels are in easy walking distance. Thing is, FS6 and his friends are fursuiters, and it makes things a ton easier if they have a room in the convention hotel so they don't have to go far to change in and out of suit, take a break, or lug totes full of fursuits and equipment to and from the car.

Be sure to double check whether you're in the actual Hilton across the street from the con, or the Hilton Doubletree a couple blocks away. That one got me this last MFF, so it wasn't until I got there that I found out from the Hilton front desk that my reservation was for the Doubletree.

awesome See you there. I will be applying for the DJ lottery too, to see if i can get lucky enough to get a slot to do my 80s' retro set there too since it was a hit at MCFC & Canfurence. (though more than 100+ DJs try to win one of the only 12 sets open. :P
