I moved my LiveJournal posts over to a new account on Dreamwidth. The new journal is at https://jcollie719.dreamwidth.org/
Since FA doesn't have a Dreamwidth profile link option yet, the link is under the "My Website" link next to the picture of the world map on my profile's contact info.
I might need to buy a new digital camera if I can't find a specific part for my current one. The tab holding the camera's battery in place broke about a month ago. Now the camera only works when it's in its charging dock. HP no longer supports the camera (a Photosmart R817,) so buying a new one might be better. I still have the waterproof camera I bought for my Grenada cruise as a backup.
A group is now working on DenFur, a 2018 replacement con for Rocky Mountain Fur Con. Leaders of other cons are mentoring the group to get things started. I'm sad about the loss of RMFC as I've been attending since 2010, but I look forward to a new and (hopefully) better-run convention.
Last month, I realized my driver's license had expired in January. I renewed the license online and am waiting for the new one to be mailed. I'm hoping it arrives before April 26 since I booked a vacation to Arlington, Virginia from April 27-May 1.

Something you can do to make your cam work I did to my Canon. There is a tiny switch on the battery door that turns off the camera. I jammed a tiny piece of tape in the hole so my broken battery door will work as long as getting a duct taped connection to the batteries.
HP r817? Does it take good pics? I really couldn't believe my HP945 took as good as pics as it could....just with a dead pixel....so I use my Canon as a default now.
