I simply considered it bundled in with the "artist" and "creator" terms when I answered, since I'm not an artist but I do like writing the occasional short story.

I am seeing exactly what I expected to see.

The footnote of optional questions makes the previous question look rather... Odd.. let's say odd. It betrays the over all normal feeling to the rest of it. That footnote kills me with laughter when I see the results from the pie chart on the last question.

I honestly love filling out these forms, I did the transformation survery earlier this year, was fun detailing all the aspects of it. Though, honestly, I'd prefer to be in a lab conducting experiments or being experimented on (your mind went to filth, didn't it? XP). Curiousity is a curious thing. My favorite part is where it shows the clear hypocrisy in the fandom about whether or not it's all about sex.

HUGE majority vote on "It's not all about sex but CAN be" and yet, the "I like this" on any sex related question is through the goddamned roof.

There's no reason it can't be both for people. Personally I find anthropomorphic animals interest me, but as many human beings do they look at porn. Seems reasonable to look at porn of something that interests me. :p

Definitely going to be bias towards answers involved in adult art though given fek's audience.

What hypocrisy?

I enjoy the adult stuff. I enjoy it immensely. However, that's not ALL I enjoy.

The hypocrisy comes from the fact that there's a bunch of people who lie to themselves that the fandom isn't mostly about the sex. Shit the entire furry fandom was founded on that very principle ("Let's make a club about fucking cartoon animals!").

Sex is a HUGE part of the fandom. While there's other elements as well (social, commercial, etc.) in the end, the foundation of the fandom is porn and sex related things. The hypocrisy stems from people trying to fool themselves that it's otherwise.

....where are people getting this idea on what and how the Furry Fandom was founded?

And, no. Still not hypocrisy to say "I enjoy Furry Porn, but Furry isn't just about Porn."

I think it's also important to compare two numbers:

- The number of furries who do sexual furry things.
- The number of non-furries who do sexual non-furry things.

Both numbers are essentially 99%.

There are definitely lots of ways to spin the numbers, but I think the most valid conclusion anyone can reach is: "almost all humans like porn/sex, at least secretly, and will drag sex into anything".

I am eager to see how the combination is the other way around?
• How many non-furries enjoy sexual furry things.
• How many furries dislike sexual furry things.

I interpreted these two questions as separate. I think that furry is not all about sex, AND I like the adult/sex themes mentioned. I do not see any contradiction between having a point of view on a fandom and a list of sexual kinks.
I interpreted "I believe the furry community is mostly about sex." as "There is no other socialization aspect other than sex", which is wrong in my opinion.

I think that the question should be rephrased as: "How important is sexuality in the furry fandom from your point of view?" or something like that.

Had quite a bit of afterthought for the reasoning behind you doing this. It would apply very well to that rack game you are doing. Being able to take these numbers and have some of those random interactions be a lot more realistic.

That modesty ratio looks roughly 9/10 for modest people and 1/10 for people who are open and honest.

What are frogs?

It is, in its rawest essence, a fandom like many others. However, for some it has become a way of life, just as it is in other fandoms. To intricately label it is nearly impossible, no matter how much we try, and to attempt to do so will only inevitably lead to schisms in the community.

It's not something that can simply be cut and dry labeled, it's a community of human beings, with all of their intricacies and pitfalls. In that way, it is beautiful, and in others, it is a horrible reality.

it's interesting seeing how much sex ties into it, but I think it's comparable to other subcultures like BDSM; it may be based in sex, but it is a lifestyle for many people and should be treated on the same level with the same respect. I think society hasn't caught on that there is much more to sexuality than we've been told, maybe most people aren't even ready to accept furries as a sexuality or lifestyle, as hinted by how many people wouldn't say that they're furry. but I think this is a step in the right direction, it makes me more optimistic about the majority of furries despite recent drama like RMFC, etc.

Have you wondered about all the Brony studies that have been subbed to EQD, in comparison to the near-complete disinterest of studies about what makes furries tick? I have my suspicion that furries have been pigeon-holed into nothing more than a fetish and psychology is done with us.

I have a theory there was a sustained attack by the media to discredit Furry as just a fetish. Beginning around the time of the MTV Special/CSI Episode/Vanity Fair article c. early 2000s. A "fandom" based around people creating their own characters and stories instead of rallying around a franchise like MLP is threatening to Hollywood.

I don't think "discredit" is quite the right term as the examples you've listed were used for shock value, whereas your last point may have some weight and verifiable facts. On the last point you would also have to prove the same premise is invalid for something like Star Wars fandom which is rife with OCs, replace SW with Furry and make your argument.
