Updates on Final Fantasy XIV 7-7-09

I'm going to keep you guys updated every month or so with news on the new MMO from Squire Enix called Final Fantasy XIV.
Heres what I learned so far:
1. It will play smiler to FFXI, with the job system and such.
2. There are no lvls in the game. This is to avoid grinding and make it so everyone can play at there own pace. I will expand on this as the information comes out.
3: there are 3 races in the game, thay are as follows
(In case you where wondering, I'm going to be a tank so I'm going for ether Elvvan or Galka)
4. FFVI and FFXIV have nothing to do with each other, so there may not be any porting of characters. BUT, FFVI will still be supported by Sony, so no worries.
5.Each region will get it's own server so as to avoid problems with languages and such, so sorry if you got a friend in Japan or Germany, they can't play on the NA server.
That's all the facts I have now. But there are a lot of rumors floating around so if you ask the right questions I will tell you them.

Elvaan--strong melee fighters, reasonably good healers but weak in black magic.
Hume--a race resembling humans, with overall average capabilities.
Galka-- an all male race resembling bears. They reproduce through reincarnation, in case you were wondering. Strong and tough, but weak with magic.
Mithra--cat-like humanoids, agile and dexterous, but lacking in charisma
Tarutaru--tiny humanoids with incredible power over magic, but physically weak.(In case you where wondering, I'm going to be a tank so I'm going for ether Elvvan or Galka)
