-what is an artslave?
im new... im sorry :<
FA+

A YCH (your character here) is anything you want, you make a rough sketch of what it will look like (example, 2 people sitting at a table drinking coffee) and you post a SB (starting bid) and a AB (auto buy)
if the YCH reaches the AB price the person who made that bid is the winner
And it is normal to get payment first before starting a YCH
I hope this will help out :D
i do not have messenger ;w;i barely use computer to enter this site and draw.
-what is the conditions for YCHs?
A: you make your own conditions you may do an auction with an Autobuy and or and end date.
you can charge what you want you can make any and every rule you want just make sure EVERYONE knows what those rules are BEFORE they pay.
-is it okay if commissions are finished before receiing money?
A: yes but I wouldn't recommend it, some people will take that said art and run off.
-what is an artslave?
A: typically someone who sells an amount of time usually one hour or more. They sell that said time for a flat price or an auction price, then during that said time they've bought the artist will usually stream their art towards the buyer for that period time. All art made in this time belongs to the buyer [stopping timers for breaks and such naturally]
A YCH is a sketch youve already draw that you sell off cheap. It started as a way to make back the money lose on commissins that the person never paid, or didnt want anymore.
You set everything, the pric the date and all! Any rules.
Dont ever work without getting the money first unless you know the person or they provide a LOT of proof they pay. Half and half is better.
You're a brand new artists here, so I'd say people will be unwilling to pay because you have no reputation yet; do half and half!
An art slave is almost NEVER work it. Dont do it. SOmeone gives you a lot of money and you draw for them for a set of time, usually a month or a year, and its a LOT of work. Ive done it before and will tell everyone DO NOT DO IT, it's not worth it.
Commissions by the hour is not the same as an art slave. You can be like $10 for an hour of drawing! usually done in stream. It's like shift or time work instead of setting a flat price.
Perhaps they're just using the word out of its original meaning? -shrugs-
Can't say I have 10 years of furry art experience but I have 6 during those six I've done more than most do.
Ive been doing commissions since 2003 technically, but it was IRL stuff, like logos, or flash games.
What something originally meant,
and
how it's being used by people today
Knowing both is quite important and fortunately its quite easy too.
I cringe the most when I see "free commission"
