ROOS. Yes, Roos. The more roos the better. Thicktails galore.
Adam West personified the very core of a cartoon super hero as TV's live action Batman. His goofy and over the top acting was perfect to the role and excelled in it. The campy performance set a standard many have aspired to.
Even when his career was seemingly over and he toured the comic book conventions, he never lost that magical goofiness. With Family Guy he brought the sparkle back to the screen as the mayor of Qouhog, using his real name which is unheard of.
He embraced the role, the character, and his position as the epitome of camp.
Rest well, good hero. You made a difference.

In the "Batman: The Animated Series," he voiced a typecast hero from TV that was one of young Bruce Wayne's favorites, "The Grey Ghost."
In the more recent "Lego Batman 3" videogame, he voices himself, (and has to be rescued on each level,) and one level lets the player play the 60's TV characters, complete with them all doing the "Batusi" at the end of the level!
Fare thee well, Batman.

I haven't experienced Adam West's Batman except through parodies yet, but I keep meaning to watch some episodes.
I'm glad this whole craze about people dying in 2016 is over. Whatever caused that hype anyway? Celebrities died just as often before 2016 and they die just as often now, but people don't go crazy and start cursing 2017 over the death of Adam West. Had this happened a year ago people would have been ranting about the curse of 2016.
Rest in peace, Grey Ghost.
