Lazy lizard needs to put something more up to date in regards to life status. Just a little over a year per journal...
Living Arrangements
I have just hit my 8 year mark in the Active Duty Air Force, and I have been stationed in sunny Florida for the vast majority of that time. Things are about to change however, big news: I am about to move overseas, being stationed in Japan. I am incredibly excited to get in on that whole 'See the world' bit the military is so fond of touting about. I have only positive thoughts on the culture and media outside the base gates, (Anime, Monster Hunter, etc.) and so I am anticipating adventures to be had!
I am presently preparing to depart at the end of June. My home is packed up and ready to go.
On the furry front, I have been trying to commission artwork sporadically, cutting down on the pace until my new living arrangements are established. This also means I am unlikely to attend any conventions this year, unfortunately...
Gaming
I primarily PC game in recent times. This does not mean I avoid consoles; Hell, I bought a Nintendo Switch this year.
My current rig:
Specs:
Core i7 6700k @ 4.4 GHz
ROG Maximus VIII Hero Mobo
Kingston HyperX Savage 16GB DDR4 RAM @ 2400 MHz
NVidia 980GTX Superclocked
1TB+ SSD/2TB HDD
Win7 Forever
Just a handy note for anyone skimming through titles I have recently played, if I didn't specify a username it is OrangeBlueZ, such as with most the titles on Steam.
Some titles I frequently play as of this time:
Elder Scrolls Online
Yes, I caved in the face of a hunger for lore and ES goodness, and so I jumped off the ESO hate train to give it a firsthand look. It is without a doubt a generic MMO theme park painted in Elder Scrolls colors, and yet, it has done a fantastic job of actually giving me what I am looking for. If you play solely for immersion, you might be disappointed, but go in with low expectations and you might find yourself surprised. I initially went in looking to get into black marsh and check out my species' homeland, and found myself craving more by the end of it. Now I'm loose all over Tamriel, seeing all sorts of exotic locations and having a great time socializing with awesome people in the process. I primarily play nowadays for the deep and strategic PvP scene. So chaotic and fun.
The game is Buy2play, and with a sub you can play any and all DLC zones for the subscription period. Any of you who were dubious by the initial reception and find yourself in the same place as I was, spend a few bucks and give it a shot. You might find yourself surprised with everything the game has to offer. Vvardenfell (Morrowind) DLC just released at the time of this post; It is glorious and nostalgia inducing to anyone familiar with the older title.
World Of Tanks
I still play World of Tanks, almost exclusively in pub games with fur friends. Currently part of furry clan [FURST]. I am a jack-of-all-trades and play every tier up to tier 10 TD/Artillery, and greatly enjoy rolling platoons with friends.
If you're ever on, add OrangeBlueZ and we can play together sometime!
World of Warships
I enjoy some warships from time to time, and the game is gorgeous. It is definitely more slow paced and requires a good deal more forethought compared to WoT. I have a variety of premium and non-premium ships for whatever suits my fancy whenever I'm on.
DOTA 2/League of Legends
The MOBA scene has been something I've more or less ignored for the more infamous elements of toxic community that the genre is known for fostering. At the guidance and introduction of some of my better friends I have given it a shot. I enjoy aspects of both games regardless of my relatively low skill at this time and continue to hone my abilities. [DOTA has my steam name, OrangeblueZ] [My LoL summoner name is Yzon]
Dauntless
I feel it necessary to bring attention to this Western developed Monster Hunter-esque title. The game is presently in Closed Alpha (which I am currently participating in) and will soon be transitioning to an open Beta. The game is advertised as free to play. I am excited to see something that features the same core gameplay style of Monster Hunter and combining it with modern PC fidelity and tight controls. I can say with confidence that this is a game worth keeping an eye on.
Monster Hunter Generations:
I ended up buying the 3DS to play this game, and have no regrets. It expands on the gameplay and monster hunter universe in fantastic new ways. Yet this remains the same core game that I love. I love it so much that I bought a second 3DS just to introduce friends to the game with its signature co-op hunting experience.
GreatSword Master Race representing >:3
Special word out to those Hunters; Monster hunter Double Cross is on the horizon; And it will be cross compatible on the 3DS and Nintendo Switch. It's going to be a must-buy~!

And it could be fun to play something together again sometime as well, I played a fair bit of world of Warships in the last year so thats a game I'd be up for pretty much anytime. Guns of icarus Alliance is pretty fun as well, and I might also give Payday 2 a try to see what has happened in the last year or so now that it is free to play.
Either way, have fun over in Japan!
Looking forward to seeing the new base!
And Guns of Icarus: Alliance is basically an expansion of sorts that focuses more on co-op with new ships, weapons and all that. I think it is pretty good, if perhaps a bit repetetive sometimes unless you have a good crew.
Best of luck with it all!
We'll need to try to get in some games. Wolf and I both play Generations :)
