New Character ideas - Furless anthros
I was thinking about some stuff lately, and one of them was not yet mentioned: Characters without fur, showing off how human my characters' skins are -aside of course the fur cover-. I initially thought about furlessing already existing characters to show what ethnicity each one belongs to, and maybe I will do that too, but I also want characters that are all skin -except hair- in appearance. -Not anorexy, actually-
How's that for an idea?

I say do it, it's unusual and gives you an option to play with your characters some
You are right, it would be interesting especially since people are used to furless animals being less cute than them with fur. I personally have been in the mindset that I am actually drawing HUMANS with animal heads, and as such, the world I depict is populated by a "Next Generation Humanity", if You do remember. That's one of the reasons I wanted to try this idea out. Of course, when I actually came to make a sketch-concept of the furless girl I chose to draw (African American Doggie) I faced a few challenges in the proccess. For example, I need to really differentiate between characters with fur and characters without. She came out quite familiarly similar to how I used to draw my characters in general. For this, I may need a few rules:
1: Furless people are without markings. That's a given, since it's a furless girl, so there must be no natural markings present. Tatoos are okay.
2: No marks of fur must be present, except hair, and the optional genital and armpit fur. (Tail may grow fur)
3: If possible, make the body of the character reflect a little light -tho I am not skilled enough to make this one happen, and not all human skin reflects light)
4: Remember that My characters are humans from a fictional universe where the species was mutated and design the characters accordingly.
Of course, it is still challenging to differentiate the Furless characters from the Fur-Coated ones. Some might draw their characters without making fur thufts hang out from their arms or shoulders, or anywhere, ergo, "straight lines only", and for Me, that was the same way I used to draw MY characters in. It's hard to imagine methods to make sure the viewer gets that She or He has no fur on their body, barren like a traditional human. (What if I start commissioning real artists to draw my Furless girls for example? They need a lot of convincing)
Considering that the basis of my Anthro characters are HUMANS themselves, I may avoid making them look too bad just because that's how We are used to animals when they lose their fur. Of course... Look at what I submitted just before answering Your comment. -Sorry for the late reply, btw-
So, the first drawing I have of a furless character, an African American Doggy. (NSFW) http://www.furaffinity.net/view/23895700/
I think I failed to impress myself O.o
I've a cousin, who's a "mix" but, took after his mother. She's burple but, he's got some incredibly bright white patches, like his father and blonde hair and blue eyed. He looks incredible, to me personally. I always said "Marco, was born with his warpaint on"
As for the human heads? That sounds very Egyptian, or native american shaman
