If you used the card IRL at a shop, or an ATM, that might be the cause. Do NOT shop at any of the places you used both cards. Chances are theres a thing in place to read your cards data and steal it. It's a very common bank card scam.

OMG, this is horrible... and it's really strange they stole money from the card that had never been in use.
I'd probably change the bank and store my savings in cash under the mattress after that...

I think it was the bank selling the information. I was going to take all the cash out and save it on my matress literally. But yeah, when I got to the bank it was already gone... it didnt even stay a day on the account! :( But what hurts me was that it was around 1k... it was a lot of money... :c
I do want to make some "Emergency YCHs" or even suggest collabs yeah.. but I dont want to bother people ;w; ..

You should be able to report it at the bank for fraud on both transactions as long as you can prove you were at vegas and they will refund your money for whatever was stolen.

I did! But the thing is that the bank is telling me to wait for 6-10 months to hear back from them. And the money will not be returned until that time passes... that's what pisses me off... Its my money, why would I wait so long to get it? ;;__;;

They shouldn't make you wait that long at all, thats bs. I only hd to wait a few days and they straightened out the overdraft fees. If I was you, I would call them back and threaten to have better buisness beu to look into them since it sounds like an obvious scam on their end. 6-10 months is too long. At most it will take a few weeks as they should be more adamite about catching who scammed/stole money from you as its a crime.

They are making in investigation because they want to be sure that the money wasn't spent by me.

It definitely sounds like it's time to change banks, or go off-grid or something. That's shady as fuck, ESPECIALLY because the new account barely existed for a day before it happened again and the new card had never been used.
Are you possibly able to take it to the police or anything? That's so shit that you have to wait so long for the bank to do something while their fingers are shoved up their asses :/

When my boyfriend's account ( i think it was some sort of investment savings or whatever) that had a few grand got hacked it immediately caught them and locked them out. What bank are you using?? Mine has major protection. When someone buys something with my card it IMMEDIATELY sends a text saying how much I've spent (unless it's a purchase where I've added a tip, that comes a day late)

Well, the account is okay.. but the bank never told me there was an option to check online and the sms thing... so yeah. I was blinded until I went to check on the atm and there was nothing from the 1k. lol. :c

Weird. Your bank should be able to trace back all of the places he's spent your money on (unless that ticket was 1k) and if you can narrow it down to the days and possible hours when they spent you can track down that dude. Camera footage may be able to help out tracking this dude down. Only thing I can try to do is get my boyfriend to do some digging to find him/her. We're both VERY good with finding one's information.
