Because one the Internet Monopolizers got their mitts on Tumblr, they decided the best course of action was to quarantine every single nsfw blog in the entire site to a state of "Cannot ever be found except on the dashboard"
The Internet provider Verizon bought yahoo, and are making huge changes t tumblr's policies to NSFW content.
Untagged NSFW posts can earn you immediate strikes against your account, and content flagged as nsfw are hidden from normal searches or if you are not signed in. NSFW blogs will no longer be viewable directly and wont be able to receive anonymous asks.
Verizon is attempting to stamp out NSFW content on the platform and sweep what's left under the rug, severing artists from their audiences and making it a hell-hole to post on.
They can't do that! That's Bullshit! Art is art and if they do that they are basically and I think, taking away our right of expression, speech and freedom to express. They can't just do that!
Well then, this is disconcerting. I get the impression that eventually, there's going to be a huge outrage and someone's going to likely take Verizon to court in a group lawsuit. It's likely to happen. Tumblr is a hellhole in itself, but messing with Tumblr is like messing with Reddit. You're going to get burned eventually.
Can I ask you what would be the best place for a budding artist at this point? I really want to become more active and draw more, but i want an audience too. Seems tumblr is a no go now. What do you think? Ive tried tumblr, DA, and here, not very good success (best I got was here but even then still slow)
