i was really sad about not going to AC this summer
least i have 1 con which is the highlight of my summer
i been going the past 3 summers

Camp Feral looks amazing, we'd love to go someday but our issue is we have limited time off! Eventually we will!

my summer is going well! going to my first furry convention in august and im super excited! which also leads to this next question...Will you and strobes be coming to Furrydelphia? i would LOVE to meet you both! <3 you guys are my inspiration when it comes to acting in fursuit and dancing! hope the rest of your year goes well for ya! sending you positive energy your way <3

We sadly will not be at Furrydelphia, that weekend is the Ptown Carnival celebration as well as our local furbowl that I help run. Perhaps next year!

Gonna be working on my summer internship & subsequent internship report, that's a big part of my Masters program. After that, final semester of my Masters!
Still will have some events & meets to go to in-between, but next big con will be MFF!

Man oh man, that's crazy you'll be getting your Masters soon, you're such a smart cookie! Remember if you get too stressed you've got tons of friends that you can vent to. Best of luck with all that hard work!

MFF is between the last day of the semester and dead week, so generally the only thing I have left by then is the finals (the week after dead week). By then though, I should have applied for the OPT program (it lets international students here be employed in our field of study after graduation) and be seriously looking for work.

I'm always a bit taken aback when people here equate what I'm doing with being smart. In Asia, it's "Why you not doctor?" =p

It's nice you mentioned reaching out to friends if stressed. I have worked full time for 7 years before this, and I've gone through the 'real world' corporate kind of work stress many times. Working in Asia is definitely high stress, brutal and unforgiving.

If you take a peek at my most recent journal here, I felt that's kind of what I've been doing and how it's helped enhance my life for the better. =)

All I know is I loved my 4 years of college and getting my B.S. but I could never do higher education, at least not right now. It seems like too much for me. Luckily I don't NEED to, I could and it would open new opportunities for sure, but atm I'm very comfortable

Even for me, it's a career move. I thought the same way after getting my B.S. too (OMG I'm so done with school, I'm never ever going back there again!), but it was looking at how my specific field was developing in Singapore. And Asia's harsh working environment probably contributed too.

Granted, I feel I was way too sheltered, immature and somewhat directionless as an undergrad.
After working in the real world (aka non academic environment) and coming back to college, it actually feels like I'm doing college 'right' this time =p

Working working working! Making table stock for my dealers table at Furrydelphia and hopefully Furpoc too :) Going to a cookout at a friends house in RI this weekend, going to Maine with my girl :) Oh, and getting back to actually hosting furmeets again.....I've had a lot of support and people saying how much they missed my meets :) Got a billiards meet on the 5th. Oh, I'll be 37 shortly after Furpoc...but ssssshh cause I don't want to be older lol

OH MAN! Sounds like a super busy schedule, but all of that sounds awesome, lemme know how Furrydelphia is, ok? That's great you're hosting meets again too, maybe I can make it down to one someday soon.

I'll have to give ya a big bday hug at Furpoc, but hopefully I see you guys before that :3

I like keeping busy :) I'll most likely do a bowling meet in september but in October will be my yearly Halloween haunted mini golf meet :) Last year it got rained out but I found a pretty cool indoor place close by. But usually every year they decorate the course with spider webs and smoke, Halloween decorations and the workers wear costumes :) It'd be cool to see ya, I'm sure there's going to be a ton of new faces at my meets....and I'll be looking forward to that hug! :D

It's going ok, I suppose. Good news and uncertain news.
Good news is I got a new job as an assistant theater manager and I also got an offer to sing with Pepper Coyote and Fox Amoore at a future con, most likely Furpoc, so I really hope you come and see me sing with them while you're there!!
Uncertain because with any new job, I'm always nervous. But I hope it'll go well because I love theater and I love being around an environment I really love. Hope the rest of the summer goes well for you as well! Just keep swimming.....

As for me, summer in SoCal means unbearable heat. Fortunately, there's a meetup at the beach next month, so there's a good way to stay cool. There's also the Tail events in Long Beach, which are always a good time.

Beach is the best! Nothing like a good swim too cool off :3

And man, Tail party looks awesome, I'm jelly!

Gonna go visit my mate next month a week before furrydelphia,then go to furrydelphia,and the ct diner meets,and furpoc. Would do tinypaws con but atm funds dont permit it. Unless I get more fursuit commissions lol.

Having a wonderful summer so far. I recently bought a kayak so I've been getting outside more and enjoying time on a lake. This Sunday myself and a bunch of furs are going to Ipswich to kayak on the river. If you and your man ever want to kayak let me know. We have a spare kayak to loan out. :)
