Here's the thing... (help with some specie thang)

Here's the thing..
i went ahead and bought a "problematic" specie.
I say problematic because the owner of the specie WAS problematic...

I kind of wanted to launch the specie again, BUT, there's a problem...
I asked a few persons on DA about the specie and they said
"Nah, Beanbags are cooler, they are way better than that specie and it probably wouldn't make you a penny. These are copies of a beanbag."
I didnt knew about Beanbags until I saw them and saw an awful similarity between this specie and theirs.
And also on the whole idea of having shops and an active community... yadayada.
So.. here's my question...
Is it worth it? Pushing this specie out?
I mean, yeah, Beanbags are similar af and have the same idea behind these but, is it even worth it?
Btw I bought the rights with some art for the person. Lols. And I finished their thang so I went ahead and uploaded this journal that I had in my head for around 2 weeks.
I was actually thinking on a furry website. Where "Foxlores" where the avatars and you could dress them out and such (Kinda like Gaia but for furries.)
So.. what do you think? Is it worth it? ...

and also, i found that kinda boring, that people say is similar, and you should sell them, sell them anyway.
Beanbags are EXPENSIVE. Auction designs will EASILY sell for over $1k
I think their bodies are similar by far. If you were to change them up a little bit more, incorporate your own art style into them then you could def launch them better. It's funny because I looked at the art and, too, questioned if they were beanbags lol.
Here's my take on it though. A species I really adore, Xynthii http://obscenebarbie.deviantart.com.....rnal-541433078 is insanely popular on dA. However, not everyone can afford her designs. The owners of the species will often sell them for $60+.
Being the creepy-cute pastel look, ofc younger audiences are going to crave them. There's another species that is basically the animal knock-off of them. They sell for like $20. http://celestial-critters.deviantart.com/

See what I'm saying? Your species is fine. I would sell them a lot cheaper for now. If you'd like, I'm about to start up a species as well ;w; , I could help you out with getting your name out there. I've got a few friends who are fairly popular among the adopt crowd.

A lot of original species lookalike but the background/story of the species can differ and that's why they are original! :3 Some original species are just... well, animal with horn... so anything is possible and they are so "ripoff" (except if, example: you base your species on Beanbags and decide to name your species Beanbogs xD)
