Need help (Wacom intuos pro 2 tablet)
TLDR mode at the bottom
My intuos 5 tablet is really worn off at this moment.
Touch ring is laggy af and "quick" access buttons stopped working at all (I actually never used them due to it requiering too much force to push it all the way)
Pen is also worn and whacky beyond comprehension.
I was considering bying spare rubber parts for my pen but i can't get access to those markets.
So i'm really interested...
TLDR part
What do you think about Wacom Intuos Pro 2 M ?
TLDR part
I've heard people don't like the surface and pen accuracy much.
Any info like durability, touch ring response time, surface firmness, etc...
Thanks for reading.

That is a very helpfull review!
Thank you.
I do use SAI and i'm a bit concerned. Might have to do more research on this.
I don't know what SAI 2 uses.
Clip Studio Paint has a button or switch somewhere under options which tells it to 'listen' for WINTAB tablet input OR use the newer standard. The name of the newer Microsoft stardard seems to keep changing as Touch functionality gets incorporated.

The pen is accurate and has good sensitivity and tilt response, the touch ring is a little more sensitive but not in a bad way, the buttons are smaller and don't have an LCD output to show what each one is, but when you place your finger over one for a few seconds it shows them all on the screen until you move your hand. It's a bit annoying because sometimes while I'm drawing I'll absentmindedly rest my hand on my undo or save buttons and the thing comes up, but it's still useful if you think you're using x button when you're actually using y, so eh. It's mostly annoying for me because all my pen settings and layers and everything in SAI are on the left side of my screen, which is where the thing pops up (you can still see through it, though).
The tablet itself has the same amount of drawing space but is less "clunky". It's slimmer and smaller and fits in your lap/on your workspace much easier. They've even added a switch on the side for touch controls, so if you want it to respond to your hand movements on it instead of just the stylus/pen you can have that, too. I never use it, but it's cool.
They also seem to have kept the wireless capabilities like they introduced with the Intuos4. I haven't tried it out yet, myself, so it could just be that the tablet stays active even when it's unplugged (which would be silly).
Also it doesn't come with any installation discs or anything. You just go to the Wacom website and install the latest drivers for your product, and it will install a Desktop Center, where it will keep you up to date with how much battery your tablet currently has, any new drivers that need to be installed, and you can manage all the settings and backups for everything. It's really useful.
I use the Portable version of SAI (which you can download for free) and haven't had any issues using my Pro 2 with it, and the screen mapping works really well for me as well. Haven't had any issues.
Definitely a good purchase for me. Doesn't feel much different from the Intuos4 other than the tablet itself is smaller and sleeker. The drawing surface feels really nice against the pen nibs as well~
I've been using an Intuos4 PTK-640 for years. Only issues I've ever had was having to reinstall drivers from time to time.
Also, try uninstalling every driver for your tablet that you can find on your computer and installing new drivers from http://www.wacom.com/en/support/pro.....upport/drivers
My intuos 5 surface is like a mirror at this point :D
Got used to it pretty fast.
