Post EF 23 - Con Report

Soooo.... Eurofurence 23 has been over for a few days and I had my first day at work again today. Now it's time to gather my thoughts about the con.
It. Was. AWESOME!
Seriously, best con I've been to so far. It might have something to do that I had a whole new con experience because I was fursuitung for the first time. It is a great feeling to put on that suit and head down to mingle with people ^.^
But I better start from the beginning.
dreamandnightmare and I arrived in Tuesday, one day before the con starts. We originally had planned to start at 11 am and get to the con hotel by 2 pm. Unfortunately, there was a major traffic jam on our way to Berlin, the autobahn was closed in both directions. It took us 4 1/2 hours to get through the traffic jam and onto the road again x.x
By the time we got to the hotel it was 6:25 pm and the con registration had already closed. Oh well, at least we could check in to our room and put our stuff away. That night we went to dinner with
aotora and a few of his friends. The food was good but the service was lousy.
On Wednesday we were ready for the con to start. After waiting in line for about an hour and a half we got our con badges and picked up our fursuit badges as well. Weeeee! ^.^
Our "cat group" was finally together again: Night, me,
cirez, 
lunatik, 
wuschelwolf and 
mahingan.
blackymoon joined us as well - he is such a cute and adorable otter! <3 I'm happy I got to spend more time with him than last year when we only briefly met during the con :3
Night was very excited to see the banner he donated to EF this year. It was huge and greeted us at the entrance to the main con area! He uploaded the digital version here.
I was very excited to fursuit for the first time. True to my character, I only have a partial but I did the best with it. A nice black suit, white shirt and red tie made me look like a real business tiger. I was so thrilled when two different people compared me to Shere Khan from Talespin <3 <3 <3
It took a while getting used to the heat inside the head, even though my fursuit maker
easyday- built in a fan. But it was awesome to walk around the hotel with Night and to join the fursuit parade on Thursday.
Thursday was also the day that our friends
lyk and Rizzo came to visit the con for a day. Unfortunately they had to wait in line a lot and didn't get to see "Enter the Arena" due to time reasons :-/ But we made sure they had fun anyway and I think they did ^.^
I'm also happy that I ran into
fnr on Wednesday morning and he joined us for breakfast. It was the first time he visited a furry con and right from the start a few friends of his who were staff members recruited him to help around the con. So at least he was able to keep busy x3 We ran into each other several times and he is a wonderfully nice and friendly guy :3
Another highlight was Night's panel on Friday - "From Lines to Finish", demonstrating his whole drawing process for a picture he drew for the charity this year. You can find the pic and a link to the timelapse video here. About 80 people showed up to listen to him and ask questions and he handled it perfectly. I was so proud of him <3
On Saturday, Night's mom and a friend of him came to visit and we all got a backstage tour through the con lead by the chief of security
dhary - that was really swell of him and a very interesting experience to look "behind the scenes" :3
We were all kinda sad and depressed on Sunday because so many people already had to leave, including Cirez and Blacky
The only upside was the "Dead Dog Party" that evening with good music and a great atmosphere.
Night and I were skeptical if we would be able to attend EF next year, because we also have some other travels planned for 2018, but after all the fun we had, the great people we met and the fursuiting experience, we've already decided that we will attend EF24 as well :3
If it were up to me, they could hold the next EF in a week again x3

Even though we don't know each other, I just wanted to say that your Fursuit looks really awesome and I'd like to see more of it in the future.
I'm sorry about your foot. It really sucked that you couldn't attend EF this year. I hope you'll recover quickly

Thanks for your kind words, but don't worry about me, there's still the next EF. Hope to meet you both there and then.
I didn't do that much though, just carrying around and installing some screens, lay some cables or hold a flashlight when the guys who really know what they are doing do their stuff ^^;
But I got a little introduction to all the tech stuff behind the scenes which was awesome
I hope that next year we'll find a bit more time to talk
Don't be modest, you actually did do a lot for not being an official staff member
And yes, looking forward to next year

And Oh well next your i know to register me at home in time so that should shorten the process a bit :P
And yes, hopefully that'll go better next time XD

You've made a very good impression when suiting, Mr. Asyr Khan. ;3 Glad you enjoyed this convention so much. It was also one of my favourite cons ever.
So you intend to be at EF24 after all? That is awesome news, yay. <3
