Hope you're doing well! Has the Hurricane moved on ?

The storm was parked over Victoria for about 3 days.... but since we were so close to the eye, the rain was not as bad as anticipated. We still took a good bit of wind damage and power is spotty throughout town. I'm at a friend's place a couple of miles away, and while there have been a lot of trucks clearing broken and tangled limbs; and repairing damaged utility poles and power lines, my neighborhood is still without power. Hoping that changes soon, as the target date of 9/2 for restored service is... a while from now, and MAN is it tough going without AC, or power in general.

Glad you're safe after that! I hope things will be alright, I know there's only so much they can do after a storm of that scale.
There's only so much we can do to prepare for storms like that, especially living so close to the shore.
I know it's only a matter of time before it happens up here in Boston .
Hopefully things we be able to return to normal or as close as it can for your neighborhood!
