Both Air & Space Museums for sure! Really any of the Smithsonians are a safe bet.

If you have a vehicle and a day or two off, head down to Williamsburg, VA for Busch Gardens. It's consistently voted as one of the most beautiful amusement parks in the country and it's definitely one of my personal favorites (plus it won't be as busy now that public school is back in session). Virginia Beach is in that same general area, as is Norfolk.

Yeah, the Smithsonians are defiantly on my list along with Arlington Cemetery! Bush gardens might be a good trek as well depending my time off! x3

The last time I was in DC, I was 5, so I don't have much personal input. But the museums down there are highly recommended. There's also the parks down there, if you just want to be outdoors for a bit.

The civil was battlefields, the town of Fredericksburg - a shopping Mecca and the Shenandoah Valley.
